a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

You miss the point. You said that to the Jews ww2 was greater. My point is that the destruction of Jerusalem was the end of Jewish world nothing was greater not even ww2 as I explained. My other post show that both Jesus at the olivette and the rest of the Bible refer to a tribulation that involves the entire earth prior to the millennium. My reply only applies to the destruction of the Bible Jews and the end of the Jewish world. Not to be compared to ww2 or any other destruction comes close.

There are 2 parallel destructions referred to at the olivette, the great tribulation that applies to the end of Jewish world centered on the holy Temple and the great tribulation involving all of humanity

it has since been revealed that while they will die before armageddon, there will be some anointed still around that will witness the start of the great tribulation.. so the question is, how many years until the existing members of the governing body have passed away?.

im not a doctor, but based on their age and various stages of obesity, im thinking 10- 15 years- give or take, sounds about right.. with that in mind, the great tribulation could be announced any day.. the new understanding has now freed the org from the burden of having to identify a particular generation in relation to the date of armageddon.

They are convinced that the WTS teachings are all true.

Some are convinced of everything but not the thinkers. After so many explanations for generation, there is skepticism about interlapping and limited nuclear disasters too. Unless a horse talked to you, one shouldn’t be guessing and going beyond the things written.

Hi Blondie,

Thanks for bringing that out. Maybe they will use antimatter too after the big A. WT has been wrong time and time again in their commentary explaining the Bible but 7x and the gt is still holding up. Who actually goes to heaven with JC etc, we will see when the time comes. Also, whether wt timing is off and factoring the human element of the religion, JW are convinced it is God’s agency and the prophecies about Paradise earth are true.

he is claiming that he would return in the lifetime of his listeners.

It could be argued that he did small scale, after his resurrection, to Paul, in the book of Revelation. And in the book of Revelation written after 70, he says that he is coming quickly to those Christians destined to die and go to heaven. So they had all that evidence back then of Jesus dealing with them miraculously— but no Millenium. They all died. —But time passes quickly when you are dead. Same with JW today. They don’t need any more evidence and signs. They look for the end game. But some of the Apostles saw the transfiguration back then and were convinced and saw him resurrected etc. However, most died including Peter and Paul before seeing the fulfillment of the Olivette. But they died convinced so do JW today.

Is the Bible and what it says about the resurrection of the dead, eternal life, the Millennium, the return of Christ all bunk? If not, when does this all happen?

It is a heavenly entity and not part of the earth at that time. Jesus and the elite that make up the Messianic kingdom and rule from the heavens But the point of Jesus word trampling is Gentile ruling, until the appointment times of the nations when the kingdom was established in the heavens according to Rev which is the allusion in Luke. So, the Olivette refers to the destruction of Jerusalem which happened in 70 and to the end of Gentile Times. If you don’t want to believe that happened in 1914, ok but the Parousia is connected to the end of the Gentile times.

Judaism rejects the Greek Scriptures and Jesus as playing any role in God’s purpose. The destruction of Jerusalem did not convince them, but we will all see if that is true when the son of man in revealed.

Interestingly in Luke 21:24 at the Olivette, Jesus refers to the Gentile Times. So there is a connection between the Gentile Times and the Parousia seen here.

One could erroneously conclude that the trampling of Jerusalem would begin in 70. But, keep in mind that Jerusalem was destroyed once before in 607 and continued under Gentile rule. Amazing that Jesus would allude to the 7x at at Olivette! with the poetic word trampling. It is also amazing that therafter a heavenly Jerusalem is spoken of in the Christian Scriptures that cannot be trampled on because it is not on the earth.

WW 2 was far worse than AD70 to the Jews.

Not spiritually. 70 marked the end of the Jewish era. Back in 70, they were verified natural Israelites by lineage with documentation to establish tribe, priestly rights, land and inheritance rights and they had Temple and Holy Land. Thereafter, like the northern 10 tribes became the Samaritans, Rabbinical Judaism emerged composed of a people that married converted Gentiles. Are the descendants of the 70 survivors “Jews”—-to God because such practice a form of Judaism ? By what standard is a person a “Jew” because the person practices some form of Judaism and where is God in the equation since Jew in ww2 was about religion and not race? So 70 was the end of the Bible Jews, there was no salvation from Jehovah: “The kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation producing its fruits.And, “ Look your house is abandoned to you…” Also, God rejected natural Israel and chose an Israel of God with no provision for restoration—the end. We know that 70 was a punishment upon the Jews but were the people of WW2 that you refer to “Jews” to God? So 70 was really the end.

Jesus parousia did not occur back then and the world continued till its present age. Jesus answered more than one question. Part of his answer applies to the era of his return.
