Funny.

40k people get kicked out of JW yearly for adultery and other sex related sins and many thousands more for other sins such as stealing, drug use, etc. And many leave through the backdoor. And then this film claims people are in danger and trapped inside JW while nobody is afraid to sin but they are afraid of JW message that God punishes. What a bunch of boloney. If someone wants to leave JW, they just leave and live whatever life they like. Nobody bothers them. I know plenty of people that left. No DA letter no df. The problem is that some people have ties and family with other JW and they don’t like it that other JW don’t want anything to do with them and they get angry for this. Or when someone gets their feelings hurt they want to get even.

The vid misrepresents JW. It targets nonJW away from the org. Honest hearted JW and even JW who left know better. The Bible clearly states that God will take action against the wicked, etc. Getting angry at JW for publishing what the Bible says does not change the Bible message. It is about the message, JW is only a messenger. —Don’t want to be redundant. I am more afraid of the corrupt things children are exposed to and learning in school as normal. The people in the vid are angry people that want to get back at JW for something that hurt them, and while I do feel compassion for their pain and sincerely understand their position, a disingenuous representation of JW cannot be justified. The ulterior motive is vindictiveness.

As Jw interpret the Bible Satan is still running around and Jesus will just have to wait until God’s appointed time to crush his head. By the same token Jesus had to wait until the Gentile Times ended when at that time 1914 he was given power to act first to kick Satan out of heaven.

Nothing offensive about Jesus being patient: “Consider the patience of our Lord..”

True. There is nothing more to add. The gt did not come as per JW expectations and as JW said it would. The great tribulation must now come and validate JW.

Russell's terminology should be evaluated in the context of his own usage.

I understand what Russel taught. WT does not say Russel is Joseph Smith or the rule. WT has a different understanding now about Christ’s return as I mentioned. So, JW beliefs do not depend upon interpreting CTR. WT also agrees with many things Russel taught not because Russel taught them but because when WT interprets the Bible on their own they arrive at the same understanding as Russel did.

Second Coming and Second Presence were virtually interchangeable.

Not at all to JW. No second coming or second presence.Neither term second or coming applies to 1914. According to JW, Jesus returned invisibility in 1914, the beginning of his parausia, climaxing in the revelation of the Son of Man at the great tribulation. But to JW, Jesus did not “come” again.

Russell (according to himself) adopted the idea of an invisible presence around 1876.

I think WT reference Sir Isaac Newton sharing a similar belief.
