The voluntary donation of blood of an unharmed person for the medical benefit of another is not prohibited in any text.

That depends on how one interprets the text. As JW interpret the Bible ( at this time) and it be makes sense, Abstaining from blood includes not flooding your body with gallons of whole blood. The benefits or health concerns is another subject.

blood saves lives

Not arguing that sometimes only a blood transfusion can either prolong life or even stop a person from dying —short of a miracle.

(At one time organ transplants were viewed as cannibalism by JW. Now, some JW have gotten organ transplants.)

How does a person that pumps 1/2 gallon of blood into his veins keep abstaining from blood as required in the Christian Scriptures?

Also, if an Israelite went around eating dead animals, he would obviously get into trouble. The related scripture is not a concession allowing Israelites to go around eating dead unbled animals as a standard for the Israelites. The standard was the ritualistic slaughter with the poring out of the blood. There is no such practice recorded in the Bible. However, you make the point that even if one person ate a dead animal, the blood was different from blood from a slaughtered animal and WT acknowledges that in wt literature. The issue in modern time remains because blood transfusions is a standard practice in medicine, Christians are to “keep abstaining” from blood. The JW gb interprets that to mean no bt.

I don’t think that a Jew in ancient Israel worth his weight in modern day salt would eat a dead (kosher) animal because it was wrong to do so but IF he did, there was no penalty although there was uncleaness integrated with the conduct.

i personally have only attended a handful of meetings at kingdom halls.

i did not enjoy any of them nor was i impressed by anything that was conveyed.

perhaps others did not find them boring as i did.. nadia viotto has this to say about her experience.

would he be working on the massive audio/visual complex being built at ramapo?.

i overheard my wife listening to some update broadcast this morning and immediately thought would a true humanitarian such as jesus, mahatma gandhi or albert schweitzer be at all interested in such things?

these were 'people' persons not interesting in the stupid trappings of life.. if the gb were to sanction the building of hospitals, orphanages, refugee centers and the like, maybe we would have a little more respect for them but this ramapo project seems like a sense waste of time, energy and money.

If he is riding a white horse now as a conquering king, what do you figure he is conquering? Remember all the horsemen have been ongoing for over 108 years since the conquering goes on on the earth to completion. It figures that the the conquering has to do with the defeat of earth’s kings earth-wide. The JW teachings and activities moves forward and keeps growing. The preaching converts a lot of people. That is the whole purpose of the congregation, the preaching work. —Isaiah 6:10-12

Was Satan in Heaven while Christ was crucified?

just a shower thought came to mind.. while jesus was nailed to the stake/cross (take your pick) because of the witnesses lack of belief in hell.

does that mean according to witness doctrine that satan and his demons were in heaven while jesus was being executed?.

what about after jesus went to heaven?

In Job, the Satan was in heaven. According to JW Bible interpretation, Satan was cast down from heaven later on (circa1914). Jesus prophetically saw Satan cast down from heaven. Satan had that kind of power to resist God in such a way that had Jesus killed, so he had to be in heaven at the time Jesus was put to death.

Jesus taught that works save - see the sheep and goats Matt. 25

Salvation has different facets. One aspect is work and another aspect is that slavation is a gift that cannot be earned or merited. Paul’s gospel was same as Jesus but he explained in such depth that requires understanding same as understanding John 1:1 and not jumping to conclusions about Jesus being God almighty. Need to understand what Paul is saying.

the flaw in this simplistic reasoning ought to be obvious; a human body and a steam engine are two different things.. our bodies have evolved complex systems of control and feedback loops in order to maintain a steady interior environment, also known as homeostasis.

The drug glucophage is amazing. Send any money to me that you wish to spend on natural medicines and expesive snake oils. Glucophage is believed to sensitize your body again to insulin if you take it long enough and stop consuming all that sugar and regulate consumption of carbs and starches.

Sad to say, nothing helps for male pattern baldness except a wig or expensive cosmetic surgery

Why Do JW`s still use the Name Jehovah ,when they admitted in the Aid Book that it is not the correct pronunciation of his name ?

The karaites today use the pronunciation yehovah as the name of God. Unlike rabbinical judaism, they dont hide the name of God and interestingly pronounce it like JW. There are no vowels in the ancient text and the pronunciation in hebrew was lost resulting from rabbinical superstition. However, Rabbinical Jews do say the name. I’ve heard a Satmar angrily say to a Lubavitcher: “Jehovah doesn’t belong to you!” I think that in Hebrew the divine name is pronounced: Ye’hovah.
