TD,
JW has published to the world their beliefs on blood transfusions. What is your interpretation of Acts 15 and your rebuttal to wt ?
10 " any israelite or any alien living among them who eats any bloodi will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people.
12 therefore i say to the israelites, "none of you may eat blood, nor may an alien living among you eat blood.
15 'anyone, whether native-born or alien, who eats anything found dead or torn by wild animals must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be ceremonially unclean till evening; then he will be clean.

DJW,
the Talmud views an embryo as only water until after 40 days and abortions are permitted before 24 weeks. It is not a human soul. The laws of kosher apply only to eating not ingesting and Rabbinical Judaism also distinguishes eating and tasting. For example it is not a violation to put pork cosmetic products on your lips and skin even if you swallow some of it. Hypothetically a Jew would not be in violation of kosher if ingesting a gallon of blood or a gallon of pork for non medical purpose on the other hand, eating some meat and cheese is not allowed.Their approach and method of interpreting the Bible differs from JW. For example, the Talmud says that King David did not commit adultery with Bathsheba because Uriah was not married to her at the time and David did not murder him either because Uriah slighted the king which incurred death. Rabbinical Judaism has nothing in common with JW in the method of interpreting Scripture.
Compare the legal, medical, and religious authorities that make the definitions of what constitutes a human person compulsory and the hundreds of millions or more? ab0rtions resulting from these definitions. Acts infers a prohibition of eating blood but JW believes that ingesting a large volume of blood is also prohibited in Acts15.

You have also ignored TD's challenge regarding Acts 15.
I’m addressing it. TD addresses the points in my replies to him. You don’t. All you do is to keep reasserting your interpretation of scripture like those that conclude Jesus is God in John 1:1.
10 " any israelite or any alien living among them who eats any bloodi will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people.

Cofty,
You’ve ignored what I’ve said. I also refer you to The Watchtower April 1 1954, Question from Readers. I won’t post the information because wt has new terms of using their copyright material by posting it on social media.

cofty, don’t get angry with me. I enjoy having this dialogue with you after so many years.
Eating an unbled animal found 'already dead' was entirely LEGAL under the Law given through Moses.
You keep asserting that but I have already posted my reasons to you why you are mistaken in your view.
10 " any israelite or any alien living among them who eats any bloodi will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people.

entirely LEGAL under the Law
Nothing is entirely legal in any legal system, there are always “catch all” laws. For example, in the US the 1A is governed by time, place and manner and the right for JW to go door to door is restricted by Court decision saying that it also depends upon people feeling safe inside their homes. In ancient Israel anyone deliberately breaking the law was subject to death. Of course it didn’t mean that people were put to death but the law made that provision.

The law against eating an animal found already dead ONLY applied to priests.
It is not kosher now and it wasn’t kosher then.
10 " any israelite or any alien living among them who eats any bloodi will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people.

would you refuse to receive a blood transfusion if the doctors said it was the only way to save your life and to prevent massive organ damage?
That is a religious practice of all JW so is not up to an individual’s conscience to accept a bt.
10 " any israelite or any alien living among them who eats any bloodi will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people.
12 therefore i say to the israelites, "none of you may eat blood, nor may an alien living among you eat blood.

unlike other Israelites - he hasn't eaten animals found already dead?
Ezekiel was also an Israelite. Although priests were held to higher standard because of their office, the Mosaic law also forbade the Israelites from going around eating and selling dead animals to fellow Jews. You conclude too much beyond what is stated.

TD, your approach in interpreting the act of abstaining from blood in Acts is like Bi1l Clinton. I am trying to look at your view objectively and not as an advocate but your argument that abstaining from blood does not include ingesting a gallon of it because it is taking a different route inside the body instead of digestion is not kosher.
God commanded Adam not to eat from the forbidden fruit and knowing this could he ingest the fruit some other way or consume it for a different purpose other than eating without violating God’s command?
One explanation that wt gives is that the early christians did not consume blood for a medical purpose . WT also uses the illustration that if a doctor tells a patient to abstain from a substance such as alcohol or drugs or blood, should the patient ingest it some other way?
I am not persuaded to believe that if a person consumes a volume of blood via a bt he is abstaining from eating blood because he is ingesting it into his body and consuming it which is what eating basically is although bt is not digested. Keep in mind that the verse actually says abstain without the act ( why, literary device?) from blood. The interpretation is inferred by context and implication. ( What is the decree implying by not specifically saying eating blood? If God told me to abstain from a crankshaft, I wouldn’t even look at one, I’d conclude God was implying to stay away.)
I sincerely hold you and your commentary in high esteem.
