Stupid ventures like this should be made illegal. You couldn’t pay me enough money to get into a claustrophobic contraption and go into some death zone!
You worry too much. What could possibly go wrong. No rocket science needed although the engineers consulted NASA and designed and constructed the vessel with the help of the university. The ship is solid. If there is a problem it floats by itself to the surface. Very simple dive. Nothing to it.

If they didn’t want to spend the money to install good communication, couldn’t they at least tie a long string or something to the vessel just in case?

Thanks for the post. I can’t figure why no gps or a hundred or so signaling devices so rescue can track in a case like this. How dumb to make such a vessel lacking undefeatable safety features such as emergency communications for tracking . Even if the vessels blows up or something they should have built it with fool proof communication first.
so the end was going to come by 2000 as documented in the magazines back in the late 80's early 90's.. so how did they get the time off so badly ( over two decades and still nothing) since the gb is jehovah's earthly mouthpiece right ?

It wasn’t as if the time of armageddon was dictated with no backing by the wt. The reasons given and the Bible interpretations given were so logical and made so much sense and JW concurred. Even in hindsight, a JW can’t understand why the end did not come back in the 20th century.

Who? I’ve explained the difference between what the Bethelite artists are supposed to do and what they can do outside the parameters given to them. Obviously, if the gb told the artists to go around stealing other’s artwork (because they have a lot of fun wasting time in Court and defending lawsuits and wasting time and money with legal proceedings and lawyers and paying judgments when all they had to do is create something on their own,) that would be wrong.
(There are some issues with the Rev artwork if you study some illustrations carefully you may detect it. Obviously escaped the notice of wt officials before the book was published.)

You need to read all of my posts on this topic here not just what you like to conclude from them. I made clear the distinction between wt, the guidelines they give Bethel artist and Bethel artist and whether they follow guidelines.
Further, wt can get permission to use original art or they may otherwise have the right to use non-original art. Did you forget to read that? The only point is that wt artists have the resources to create original art and logically that is what they do. If they don’t, you wonder what is the reason.

In a legal setting a person that is disorderly or breaks a law can be trespassed from private or even public property for a year or longer because he is encroaching on others. In a church setting or JW community a member who breaks the rules and doesn’t want to stop disrupts the practicing of religion by others in the group. If he doesn’t stop, he is put out. Fundamentally, this makes sense.

I will say that when a wt illustrator creates a drawing or painting, he or she has used a real JW person as a model. Do you think wt is going risk getting sued by copying somebody else’s work? Does wt graphics department need to copy or can’t they create something themselves. Obviously they can and they do. Sometimes unintentionally it turns out similar or maybe someone can argue that it was intentional but wt has the resources to create original artwork.
