In the past, I would champion anyone who was down trodden. Now I'm having a hard look at the effects slavery had on those of color in the States and religion played a role in our submission. which one teaching really hurt you when you found out that it was not true?

my number one thing is finding out that the name "jehovah" was not in the bible like it was in the new world translation (tm).

christians did not call god "jehover" "jehovah" or by his first name, no more than you would call your father by his first name when you were a child.

asleif_dufandoittr says Dude, we're all of African heritage. Now that's beautiful. Next time you fill out a job app, I would like to see that on there, too. Or go to downtown Tuscon and proclaim that and see what kind of response you get. I'm referring to the brown to pitch black brethren like myself maybe hearing something like this for the first time and the first commentary isn't.. Wow, that's a different approach, It's 'I heard he was austrailian'. THAT is why I said what I did. In the mid 80's, I (and bandmates) re-did the theme for the New Leave It to Beaver Show.

Did a little TV and radio (I left the band two weeks before we went on the Arsenio Hall Show so, that one doesn't count).

Mahalia Jackson was a relative

Nat King Cole was a relative

The only recent celeb is the German comedien OTTO who wanted to use me in an upcoming movie(I even got drinking pics to prove it!!! LOL) He just lost his driving priviledges in Germany for DUI. It was big news there. I wonder how's he doing...
