whats been yours?

be honest.. i know mines always been trying to reconcile being gay and being jw.

as i was growing up it was like being in the middle of 2 polar opposites both tugging at me day in day out, sometimes trying to understand one whilst ignoring the other and vice versa.

No, you're not stupid Sabine. We bought into something that we thought would be a beautiful thing - yes! hanging out with the animals and living in paradise- but, we were duped.

I really thought something was wrong with me (emotionally, yes) and if I could get through to the end, I would be cured. Had I realized the WTS was the problem it would have saved me a lifetime of bad choices.

I guess I could say I still struggle with the bad choices I've made. I was born into this. I had no choice in the beginning but the JW mindset stayed with me for years. I'm still in the process of picking out the good parts and tossing the rest. A long process, indeed...

When I was a kid my mother would mockingly tell me "Laws are made for Nigaz." I couldn't believe she would say that to me until I got older and now I am basically a target. The chances of me being pulled over while going to the supermarket are greater than someone non-black. I have tons of stories but compared to some, I've had it easy. I've never had an arrest but, I still get to be treated like scum. It's been that way for people of color in this country for a long time. If you're not of the rich and affluent and you are white, you will probably be a target as well. Unfortunately OJ proved that it's nothing but a money game even if you're caught.

I think I'll start driving a Volvo stationwagon at night...

What are you paying for gas in your neck of the woods?

the price of gas is getting rediculous here in northern california!

i just paid $2.11 for a gallon of regular gas; premium was selling for $2.33 a gallon!

Here in Georgia, depending on where you go, I can find regular gas anywhere from $1.51 to $1.85. It's fluctuating on a daily basis. I paid $1.45 five days ago! This is the first place I've lived where the gas prices actually go up and down every other week.

After driving in Germany for a few months, I found that, even though the fuel prices are totally outrageous, their cars are more fuel efficient. I spent 50euro to fill the tank but it lasted two and a half weeks with alot of driving.

Democrat or Republican?

when i left the witnesses, i decided it was time to vote.

so i registered republican and went to voting all republican and conservative.

i figured, they might not be perfect, but unlike the democrats that i have seen.

My ancestors were here before the white man came. My other ancestors were brought over in slavery to develop this land for the white man's use. We're basically watching the white man destroy himself and, maybe after that destruction, people can get back to their own business like farming their own land and maybe living in peace without this strife. I can hardly wait!

i don't know what eles to call it , i guess it is the user name....lol.......so what does yours mean?.

i think awhile back i might have asked this,,,,,,,but it was way back and so many new ones here that i am just getting to know, and ones who came in here while i was not here as much.

there may be a thread on this in the last recent months, i am not sure,,,,if so, if there are any new ones who want to tell why they choose their user names,,,,,please do.. i will tell you why my name is lyineyes,,,,,many have asked me that here lately.
