Shamus the more threads the better. It reminds me of preparing a golf putt. It's advantageuous to view all 'angles' and note any slippery slopes.

after hearing the pro's and con's about the movie, i went to see it this afternoon.
i know we all have differing views, but i'm interested in knowing what impression it left you.
for me, i went in with a critical eye and i was emotionally detached from the movie.
Sentinel, nothing like the big screen when it comes to interesting movies. I invited my wife and she wouldn't go, she's not into brutality.
Without a doubt this movie will inflame the secularists. Maybe this movie is a set up for some drastic action against the Christians, maybe?

Joyb, I would interested in knowing how it affected you emotionally. Like I said, I detached myself emotionally from the movie. If you're an emotional person, bring some tissues.

The Israelites had to eat manna for forty years in the wilderness. Of course, this older group died in the wilderness and didn't get into the promised land. The Watchtower has been FEEDING the people the end of the world for over 104 years. How many have died along the way? Certainly these people that died along the way were not rebellious. Is this a lottery thing with the org?

i don't really know what made me think of this......but i was wondering how good i would be at "guessing" who posters are at an apostofest......if it was a guessing game at such an event, and nobody knew anybodys names, and you weren't allowed to tell.
let's say there were 15-25 posters we are all familiar with from the board who have been around long enough for many to know them fairly well.
how good would you be at guessing who they are?
Gumby, I've thought of that many times. It would be fun. The fun part also would be not revealing who you are, unless someone guesses. I'm 100% for it!
With you, you'd have to refrain from using the 'B' word or wearing a sweater with a 'B' letter! It would be a dead give away.

jws go door to door with their book bags and bibles and try to spread their doomday tactics to as many as possible, but are they really trying to save you or are they pressured to recruit to save themselves.it reminds me of someone selling encyclopedias at doors ,if people don't buy you don't get paid.i remember irritating people at their homes trying to get them to listen to me about the end comming and thinking only of recruiting to save myself.at that time i don't think i was actually thinking of myself but looking back on it that is what it was.jws are actually in it for them selves to save their own butts.it is a devotion of self love ,to themselves and the watchtower.
so how did you feel ?
were you actually out to save a stranger or yourself?
Bliss, you and I would have hit off as door to door partners. I enjoyed the ministry and meeting people.

Min, there was one winner in yesterday's NEW YORK Megabucks, 230 million! The winner was from Virginia. I checked my numbers and I didn't even get close. As to your question, why not?
