  2 1/2 years ago i met my non-jw boyfriend, and i received a shepherding call from two lovely elders who told me that i was mixing good with evil, and didn't i know the man i loved was going to die at armaggedon?

  they left me in tears...not as though i left my boyfriend of course.

  i've made sure that things like that don't get to me anymore.

  Why didn't they stipulate the 'hard things to grasp', such as? The previous quotes are nothing more than conjecture. Is it their conjecture that is hard to grasp? Take the example of Romans 13 and the superior authorities. How many times did they play tennis with this scripture? No/yes, yes/no, no/yes,finally yes! This is like flickering with the switch in your house, off/on, on/off off/on, etc. I can't imagine Jesus telling his disciples one thing and then changing his mind a few times. Guest77

  I would appreciate hearing YOUR version on this subject and NOT what the org. has said. Apparently they don't practice what they preach. My understanding is, someone has invited you to challenge this forum. Whether that's true or not, only you know.
  
  So kindly speak for yourself. I've read all of the replies and all your doing is tap dancing around the questions. Did you attend the dance school of Fred Astaire?

  Swan, I don't personally think about them. I haven't since the elders who last expelled me on the basis of them thinking for me. Yes, they knew me better than I know myself, well, the light bulbs went on that night and its been on since. I have emotionally detached myself from the JW's. Though my mom and daughter are JW's it doesn't phase me, no guilt. One of the things you learn in competitive golf is, YOU have to EXECUTE THE SHOT, not someone else! Life is not different. Guest77
