so often the wts makes the claim that its teachings are ?bible based?
and so are worthy of following, but are they?
true, the wts?
I think all "Christian" religions have the right to claim that they are "Bible-based", much as a movie is "Based on a true story". In that sense, they are "Bible-based".
according to the march 1, 2004 wt., the 2 parables "shed light on events in 1919 or thereabouts, they apply in principle to all true christians throughout the last days.
in this way, while the exhortation that jesus gave at the end of the parable of the ten virgins applies in the first place to anointed christians before 1919, in principle, it still appliesc to every christian.
".......i capitalized that quote to show that the watchtower is eroding the fds and the parables that have always applied to them by including the "great crowd".
That's one of the many issues I always objected to as a witness. I vocally pushed that issue, and they finally are starting to come around, it looks like, although they're still way off base on so many other countless Scriptural issues, IMHO.
What next? Will they ever realize that ALL Christians are to partake of the Bread and Wine?
The "class" stuff is simply an Apostate sham, we're ALL either Christians, or not.
ok...time for some fun...it's friday for god sakes...lol.
i love merlot's and chardonnays...of course i love champagne!!!
codeblue
Code blue,
Actually, by no means is that "all the wines", those are just off the top of my head, the ones that really stand out. There are thousands of different wines, many of which I have tried, but those ones really make an impression.
I've seen some other good choices I would second here, as well, like Valpolicella (red), or a good French Burgundy, and Liebfraumilch (Mother's milk, a German White wine variant of Reisling).

the golden age recently published an article entitled ?that delusion called ?love?
I'm speechless. Who in the world could possibly turn down God's second greatest gift to mankind, Sex?
getting to know various personalities on this board, i get to feeling that a missing component in my life is to get *really* into something.. for instance, the board has our resident intellectuals and political debaters.
i am in awe of the broad scope of knowledge and seemingly instant recall of obscure facts that many on this board seem to have.
i consider myself to be fairly intelligent, but i am light years from being a true intellectual.

jehovah's witnesses must have boundaries to be confined in.
if they want to get out of "the box", they will find themselves out of the organization.
many jws feel that they need such boundaries or else they would be either be in jail or dead.
Well, I have a bit of a different stor(ies) because I left the JWs twice.
The first time I left, I was 13 or 14, got DFd with no proof, or witnesses, just rumors (fornication) and I went on to live a life af wild abandon and absolute hedonism. However, I still had some boundaries, although I was the one who set them (I've always been a flaming heterosexual). Other than being heterosexual, there weren't a whole lot of other boundaries, other than crimes like murder and rape. So I experienced a lot, and I travelled as I wished, around the US, and had plenty of money from my "pharmaceuticals" and "manufacturing" business, wink, wink. Eventually, after seeing many of my friends wind up in prison or dead, I decided it was time to go on the "straight and narrow", and my girlfriend at the time was happy I did so. One day, after talking about religion, (she was Catholic), she wanted to go to a JW meeting. I thought "alright" thinking we'd just go for one and that would be it. The talk was about marriage, and since we loved each other, we left the meeting and started talking on that subject. Within a month we were pretty regular at the meetings, and married (duh). I went to College and got my Graduste Degtree while working to support my growing family and getting to most of the meetings.
Fast forward to around 8 years ago. I'd become a Ministerial Servant (and the Elders often pleaded with me to become an Elder) when I definitely came to realize that the JWs were Apostates. I tried my best to show them, continously, how they kept going beyond the things written, and got a repuation for doing so. I kept going to meetings, trying to chnge their apostate ways.To make a long story short, I stopped going to meetings about a year before I ended up divorcing my wife (she had become a brainwashed robot, and couldn't be helped, (Oh, how I tried and tried)), got DAd improperly, (again, with no evidence) and then after dating for quite a while, found a wonderful girlfriend who I came to live with to this day. When I left the JWs this time, it was for good, and I've set a lot of boundaries, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Apostles, as found in the Bible. I do my best to live my life in accord with those teachings, they are my boundaries currently.
