Reform....why?
by Deacon inthe organization cannot be reformed from outside; that can only come from individuals who have the guts and will to do so inside, and the determination to get rid of hardline thinking that is so strangling.
my personal desire is to see immediate change regarding the child abuse policy, and that will come.
to see a clear, quick change in the horribly inconsistent blood policy rather than drag it out over years; kids are dying in the process.enforced shunning is also an evil that they will have to deal with eventually; it's ripping them apart.. .

Good, Kent. And here's another good idea that I put in a posting titled "Kent - American Media Copies of Sin-Cards Contents."
Readers, elders/ex-elders, friends all, you have photocopy machines and cameras. Some of you care just as deeply as many of us do about what's been going on - the hiding of pedophiles, the backstabbing, etc - so here's your chance to make a difference.
Quietly but surely become real angels for the Real Jehovah and the Real Jehovah will thank You!

A Call To Deal With Apostates
by AlanF infrom the july 1, 2003 watchtower article "righteous requirements":.
.. the kingdom of god is the highest government anyone can serve.
how does jehovah issue the call to his people?
-

There have always been "angels" among the congregations, seraphing, i.e. hearing what most think is private in order to prune and sift out all who oppose "Jehovah's organization," which the Watchtower informs is also regarded as the extention of His heavenly organization upon earth (aka "Mother" as in 'Mother knows best'). The teaching is that Jehovah's laws come even before those of men. The August Kingdom Ministry on the front page speaks of this vital work being done by the "holy" angels. Specially trained elders of the Phineas class spearhead the work. Scientology has its agents (seaorg), LDS has its agents (Danites), and do you really think the Watchtower has no agents?
They are ready. Are we?

For those of us who still believe in God...
by MrMoe ini would like to know why you still beleive in god and what, based upon the bible, leads you to believe in god.. i likethe scripture that states the earth was a circle and hung upon nothing.
i also find that there is evidence the flood existed.
anybody know the stats of the "supposed" ark on mr. ararat?.

Mr Moe, this is why I believe in God.
ATHEISM, REASONING EFFECTIVELY ABOUT IT: You might start by noting that logically we can't see the energy source for this universe but nor would we want to as that might radiate us to death (Ex 20:33). Too, the source for this universe has provided us earth, food, water, life, intelligence, and therefore since a good father is a good provider it really is not illogical to call such a Source our Father. The word God can be used as an abbreviation for "the source of this universe that provides for us in a fatherly manner."
Next you can note that the creative Days could have been billions of years because in Hebrew yohm (day) as in English can refer to a period as in "in Rome's day." Also early humans may have had an atmosphere which was then able to screen out fast-aging radiation better, and there may have been plants, yes, even a tree providing antioxidant richer fruits etc for prolonging life.
Too, the statement that Eve was made from a rib is no stranger than to read that men can now clone creatures from individual cells. Since we can now "resurrect" movie stars electronically, why consider the resurrection hope as a totally impossible dream? Why must scientists or anyone at all disbelive that God could float an axe on water when men today float million ton vessels in water or the nothingness of space?
Some say the sun could not have "stood still" for Joshua, yet clouds with ice have sometimes reflected light from over the horizon. Some say that if Bible censuses of the same tribe differ that proves it and God false, but they don't note that verses can vary due to children or elderly people being listed in one census but not others that are just for able-bodied men.
Sincere skeptics may note that a verse says a certain city was destroyed in one chapter but in another chapter seems to say it was still existing, yet they may not have figured it out that there could have easily been two cities with the same name. Or they may note that one verse says Christ did no baptizing while another says his disciples did the baptizing, not noting that even today we may say a certain man build a skyscraper when in fact not himself directly but
workers on his behalf did so, so that both such statements are correct. Some will call God cruel because humans die but ask them if it isn't true that God wanted the first humans to live on forever, that He warned them how to avoid death but they ignored Him. Some will denounce that he permitted slaves in ancient times, and for this note that Christ said God had also permitted men to divorce women not because He wanted such but because he knew that to not allow it would lead to even greater cruelty, and so in similar manner He permitted but regulated slavery so that it would not be as viciously imposed as
it would otherwise have been. The preceding and other Bible-related items like it are avaible to those in this egroup: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jahchristian

WILLIE THOMPKINS - Murderer and a JW
by Kent inthe people of the state of illinois, appellee, v. willie thompkins, appellant.
opinion filed june 15, 2000.. justice bilandic delivered the opinion of the court:.
this opinion supplements our earlier opinion of people v. thompkins, 181 ill. 2d 1 (1998) (thompkins iii).. the defendant, willie thompkins, was convicted in the circuit court of cook county of the 1980 murders of two individuals and sentenced to death.

There's lots more of this than most realize. For example a recent incident was where a former Bethelite murdered another JW over a girl. It's in another thread here.
Also there was a JW pedophile involved with the Marc Dutroux serial murders of kids in Europe. He wanted to kept his pedophilia secret. They'll murder to keep it hushed up.
And isn't there a man saying his kids, two boys I think, were murdered to hush up JW pedophilia. So where does this stuff end?

BERRY LAWSUIT EVALUATED
by MadApostate ini would like to preface my discussion of the recently filed berry lawsuit with several remarks.
first, i am not an attorney, and my only connection with the legal profession is that which occasionally arises out of my personal or business affairs.
second, i have no access to court records, opinions, etc., other than what is available via internet search engines.

If the Rees appeal dead-ended or not is moot; the contention is that disposition of that one case is no reason at all for attorneys to not procede in litigation against the WTS. They not only will but are this very second.
Adams has general oversight for just one of the new corporations under the Watchtower umbrella, namely the Christian Cong. of JWs, that deals personell in the WTS, but Al's son Judah Ben Schroeder is indeed an attorney and his role is indeed substantial in the international affairs arena for the WTS. I've heard that Alan Feuerbacher knew Judah personally.
I believe one of you WTS people also said I may one of the True Faith JWs. Also incorrect. Have a nice day, boys.

Not one google.com article says Rees' case did or didn't go on to the UNITED STATES Supreme Court and though some articles say he lost in Maine's supreme court many point out he WON $1.2 million from JW elder step-father Larry Baker in on the local state court level and note he couldn't collect from Baker - not noting it was because Baker was broke.
Judah Ben Schroder oversees international affairs for the Watchtower Society and given his legal background and closeness to his father Albert Schroeder of the Gov. Body anyone reading this will realize his procedings are not minor.
Your efforts to dissuade attornies from going after funds of the Watchtower Society and its associated entities is an abysmal failure. Instead of discouraging any of us, you motivate us to expose your absurdities and falsities all the more.Run Watchtower boys, run!

See, you twisted what was said. I clearly said there have been numerous successful suits against church hierarchies, and indeed the courts have championed victims time after time. You twisted that to my saying there had been numerous ones against the WTS, a palpable falsity quickly spotted by anyone reading what actually was written above by me. In fact you Watchtower legal boys know there now will be a series of lawsuits or you wouldn't be here posting so as to hopefully misdirect and dissuade. [Poor job of it, though :) ]
As to your sidekick saying Al Shroeder's son was demoted, that does not go with what has been said and nor does is it even reasonable that Judah, as son of a Gov. Body member would have been fired and without major echoes of it resounding all over the internet and back through our own sources. More likely you're testing to see just how much inside stuff there really is here. [We'll give you A for effort on that one.)
Now if the Reed case is not still enroute to a U.S. Supreme Court hearing, as said it won't thwart the efforts of silentlambs and the attornies; but I do herewith challenge you to either present proof of what you allege, say an copy off the Lexus-Nexus database for attornies, or else you are yet again proved false.

No, you err. A pro-Watchtower Society website posted an article saying Rees lost, when in fact the suit was still on appeal; Kent of Norwy, perhaps not familiar with the full line of appeals in U.S. court systems even recorded it as lost. You cannot point to a valid post saying it is or is not still a live appeal or you would have just then done so, but now for the joy of logical argumentation even if one assumed it dead still NUMEROUS other cases have been won by the victims. That is fact.
Now as to the status of Judah Ben Shroeder, he's over the Watchtower's international activities, meaning was promoted, not demoted.
Finally those wanting to research the Grammond case proving just how big church hierarchies must pay up can look for articles on it in the archives of cnn.com and Randy Watter's freeminds.org.
:) :) :)

The Rees case last heard was on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Reece won but wasn't able to collect $1 million from Watchtower elder and step-father Larry Baker because Baker was broke.
There is plenty of precedent in which the Catholic and Anglican churches have been compelled by court judgements to pay big.
Example, right after the Grammond case Rome had to shell out tens of millions and the Watchtower Society legal staff set up new corporations hoping to shield assets.
Nice try, Judah Ben Schroeder and company.
