My son contemplates suicide.

my 14 year old son, benjamin, confided in me last night that he almost tried to commit suicide this week, he felt so low.. he has been brought up as a jw by his mum all his short life and until recently totally believed all the crap.

although he has not been baptised yet he expressed the desire to pioneer and go to bethel.. then, in the past few months, he suddenly woke up and smelt what he was shovelling.. my son is an extremely gregarious, likable boy with lots of friends in the congregation.

he is always invited to the get-togethers etc.

Many thousands of these type items have been emailed and otherwise distributed to help people liberate their loved ones from the Watchtower Society, after which there is less depression if simply because the distributing persons no longer feel "helpless" or hemmed in by the Watchtower Society. ONE SOLUTION: Since Benjamin sees it's bad but doesn't want to lose his mother and half-friends, one possibility is to not lose them, but to get them out as well as himself or at least make them friendlier to his views and less to the pedophile-upholding elders.

The internet is full of liberating material. He can start mailing and leaving it about. When his mother and some of his half-friends are out, then he can also become free. And even if they don't exit they may break the disfellowshipping code of silence and associate anyway. Once people know in particular that all elders to stay elders must hide pedophilia, that is very liberating.

What would be best would be if he just left the Watchtower half-mother, half-friends. But again, if he can't do so at once then he/you can start preparing for it now. Also if he's considered suicide he might have a chemical imbalance requiring medication and counseling or, as you may also sense, he may simply be deeply depressed because of the situation. You and he know best. Keep the lines of communication wide open.

Silent Lambs Advertising Campaign?

if dateline decides not to air there program concerning the jw pedophile issue then maybe members of this board and other anti- jw sites could all form a advertising co-op fund and use the funds to buy some air time to bring the issue to light.

you can actually get air time very cheap through the cable companys,i work for aol/time warner in houston tx and i know for a fact that you can buy a thirty second spot on cable for under $3000.00.. of course it wouldnt have as much impact as dateline but i do believe it would generate some publicity and media attention.. each spot could also include the web site locations for more info.. the fund could be set up as a charity are a non-profit organization.. i think it would be a great way to expose the dubs for what they really are.. lets say for example you could get a thousnad members in the co-op each one committing to a minimium of $25.00 per month that would be enough to run about eight spots a month in eight major citys with an audience of probally over five million viewers.. may sound like a pipe dream but i believe it would be easy to set up and to manage.

YYHWH, ignoring the negative person, sounds like a good idea you have, although Dateline will air the document at some point. We'd prefer they air it now or sooner than later though because each day it sits unaired more children are raped. So hold onto the idea. Meanwhile let's politely but daily email [email protected] asking them to air it now.

The figures come from the Watchtower Society's own computer database into which they are typing all sin files on everybody, so they are reliable for the U.S. Possibly outside the U.S. there are not as many pedophiles in the congregations, although there are other serious problems such as elders who beat their wives. I'm told that since Fidelity ($20 mil scam) they're backing other scams like NONI whatever that may be and I think something like MHM. I guess these guys donate to the Watchtower boys and get a tax write off as well as a green-light to keep plucking the trusting innocents in the kingdom halls. Anybody know what a NONI or MHM are?

Name that Winnipeg congregation that got disbanded in early 2002. We can skip the guy's name, whether George or Freddie -ko or whoever. How in the world though did one single guy cause an entire congregation to be disbanded to other congregations? Sounds strange.

Fetus receives blood from Mother?

i have heard that although the the wtbts admits that plasma proteins transfer from mother to fetus, blood also transfers from mother to fetus and of course they don't admit to that.. .

does anyone know if this is true and if so where i can go to get more information on this?

i have already looked at the twins case but is it only in the case of twins or always?

man it's quiet this time of the night - the bulk of this board's posters are asleep in their little beds, although the early risers might be starting their first cups of coffee.. there's a smattering of aussies & poms who cruise the board at this time of the night, but being a friday night, many aussies would probably be out socialising or doing something with their families.

i can assure you that every word posted about the queens new york injustice is true.

btw, even though stephen lett was not on the gb when the case started, he was on the gb later on when the case was still being fought and he was personally notified about the details of everything that was going on and he did nothing.. the original elders involved from the merrick congregation in jamaica queens are george jenkins, darrel jenkins, willie gant, james lilly, joseph douse.

paul moske is the correct name and he was also involved in this case.

I was jabbing at the WTS trolls like Dung on the other string, that's all, and knew it was Moske not "Moosey." Again, I do believe you and in fact just got an email from Troy saying still another person has come forth and also said it's all facts.

Good though I recommend shortening to 1-2 paragraphs. Bill Bowen had said in a string earlier today (Wednesday) the airing is so close he's ceasing updates about it on silentlambs.org and we should email NBC and thank them for their work and documentary on the Watchtower pedophile coverup. The Free Christians News will ask readers to also do as Bill has suggested. I suggest to Amazing that you also send what you're saying to the various exJW related Yahoo Egroups, post on hourglass2 etc. Again, thanks.
