So, in short, this could be legitimate but then it could also have been from an imposter thief or someone for the WTS wanting to cause trouble, "stir up dung" as it's been put. Again, donations alert rescinded. Plus we just got word of the court ruling. This doesn't end the need though to pay the attorneys' bills, and the case may go on appeal, incurring more expense. We will be watching.

"I just spoke by email with Randy Watters who says he must get the phone number of McCathy & Tetrault the attorneys to check with them first as to if the request from this "Shunned Father" that donations instead be sent to a notary he (L/Shunned Father) mentioned is legitimate, i.e going to go to an appropriate party and that this Shunned Father is the real Shunned Father. This is because scam artists try to rip him off all the time. Respecting what he says, I therefore ask that all of you mention to anyone you may have emailed/spoken with that they also hold off until everything is totally verified as Randy says. If anyone has sent a check then ask that your bank cancel payment until everything can be verified. For various reasons I still believe this is the real L/Shunned Father, but this is a necessary, prudent caution. Thanks, Troy"

Good News from Calgary
by Kismet inthe appeal court backed the decision of the lower court judge.. i am not rejoicing that the girl is necessarily getting the blood, tho i certainly like her chances for survival far better this way than with the 'alternative' treatment.
i have long been of the opinion that people have the right to chose medical treatment as long as it is an informed decision .
the court in their ruling support the fact that this girl did not make an inofrmed choice and was under intense pressure from the church, not her own belief.

A news article had said as you give above to make checks to Shunned Father at the address given. However another email came out that is saying make checks out to Save My Daughter. Another email saying it's from Shunned Father/LH says the newspaper article was wrong, make checks as said to Save My Daughter, gives a name and phone of a person called Maggie said to be a notary handling the fund. This may all be correct, but then too maybe not, and Randy says he often gets scams attempted, hence the need for him to be emailed by one of you the phone number for the attorneys. If you have it, please send it to him now.

Randy Watters wants the phone number for Shunned Father's attorneys to verify this information is correct. So do a lot of other people. We don't want money sent to some scam artist - or pro-WT thief. Randy says he gets scam attempts all the time and so the attorneys' phone number is needed for verifying instead of someone who says they are Shunned Father and may or may not be. Phone number of the attorneys McCarthy & Tetrault please.

SEAKN, no one said the boy was murdered but he is DEAD. Given the information that was withheld from the police he was probably horrified that elders or kids not being put off from it by elders were doing things he felt God disapproved of such as indecent exposure so tried to escape and wound up drowning. It is possible someone pushed him into the lake to shut him up forever, but no one here said that was a fact. Still, the boy is DEAD. DEAD is dead. There is no excuse possible for this. If some don't want to blame the two adults in any way since it will make Mama Watchtower and the position of elder less secure, tough luck. A kid is dead. This isn't propaganda, this is FACT. Put yourself in the parent's shoes!
Now as to a "Mossad" (Israeli CIA) thing, since when do they kill a kid instead of a parent. Simplest thing is the young man was disgusted, ran off and drowned himself. We're right to be disgusted too.
