we have just gotten home from sunday-meeting, when my mom ask me if i believe in god and so on.
so i tell her, cause you adviced me to be honest.
and despite all my fears, she took it very calm, and then told my dad whos also taking it calm, and it doesnt seem like theyre hating me now or want to throw me out of the house.. the thing is.
a friend in need:

Filip,
Yes, you do seem to be a thinking person.

Do they have your best interests at heart ...
I was emotionally and mentally abused by both my Elder father and step-mother. You don't have to have bruises to be abused.
IF you father has told you to find another home, then he is abusing you. He is threatening to thow you out, is he not? Even if he would never do it, he trying to scare you, intimidate you. It's called emotional abuse. I don't see that as having your best interest at heart.
Just remember, this is about you. I even told you earlier to do the study. But if your parents are being HONEST, and really want you to study then make up your own mind, then they should alow you to openly study both the pro's and con's of the jws. If they truly plan on letting you decide what you want to do.
I'm sorry, but at your age you shouldn't be going through this pressure in your family... unless you're doing drugs of course. I hope you have sense not to do that.

.
the president of our congregation has invited me and a couple of other young people from the cong.
to dinner on friday and then to watch the new "youth: how to make good friends" video, and then have a little "talk" about it.. though, im fearing that "talk" is going to be a little bit more serious than just a relaxed night out.. should i go?
Filip,
Should I go?
That should be easy for you to answer.
Do you want to go? Or not? It's up to you. You know how we feel about that stuff and what most all of us would say.
Your parents most likely told the PO about your doubts and this video is to encourage you.
Do you want to go or not?
This should be only your decission and not let anyone guilt you into going or not.
Please just find time to be a teenager and get your mind at ease.

apparently the missionaires were refusing to provide aid unless unless the people in the hindu village following their religion.
jubilant at seeing the relief trucks loaded with food, clothes and the much-needed medicines the villagers, many of who have not had a square meal in days, were shocked when the nuns asked them to convert before distributing biscuits and water.
i never thought i'd ever hear of this going on over there .
Must have been the bOrg.

chanced upon this website a few days ago, and perhaps spent most of my waking hours (since then) reading, and certainly identifying with, quite a lot of it.
i have also learned a few things i was unaware of - i know this is ''old hat'' to all of you, but i wasn't aware of the un ngo thing.. i was saddened reading many posts - mostly trying to get human compassion (from elders who hold the trump cards - dealt by....?).
i read with interest josephus's post no.313, and goldminer's 1st posting - both drawing attention to how lives have been wasted due to false prohesy - and i thought (after reading how the society is claiming compensation for surviving - or dead!
Welcome Edge!
Looking forward to your non-virgin posts.

i have written here before about my mother in law causing problems in my marriage and how she has not been nice to me or my two beautiful children.. so my husband, who is the most kind and forgiving man on the planet wants to give his mother another chance.
he tells me she is not going to be around much longer, at the most we only have 10-15 more years before she dies.
( i thought he was trying to make me happy when he said that and accidentally smiled....which made him peeved).
Very funny. I too, though, wished your husband could have accompanied you out to speak to MIL. She would have gotten the message much better. Odd to me that even though hubby does not attend meetings, and child discusses birthay/Christams, that MIL still says he believes. Is she in like super dinial or what?
Congrats on protecting your family!
