by Lostreality ini was walking to my girlfriends, and just as i saw her house, i saw a ginourmous flag that covered half of the front of her house....i had a little pre-vomit spit up type stuff just thinking about going into the house....is it normal for this to happen?

uhoh! getting married!

september 2005.. by that time we will have saved up $11,000 for the wedding (which will not be so expensive) and a honeymoon in rome!!!

my non-JW girlfriend emailed my JW mom today
by doogie inlast week, my girlfriend wrote an email that she intended to send to my mom.
my jw parents have never spoken to jessica in the 3 years that we?ve been together (my loooooong story was on the board last week?don?t worry, i refuse to write anymore details than i have to in this post?my fingers are still cramped up?).
anyway, the email was to be their first (and last, probably) communication.

I used to think it was too bad my girlfriend/wife... whom ever, didn't understand. Now I think it's too bad I understand and accept it. How can you understand this kind of hate? Why should a person have to accept it as "normal for them". Do we accept biggotry? 'Oh, thats okay. His friends have always avoided Jews. They think Jews are evil and God will kill them.' Makes no sense!

My replys, "I guess it would depend", and "kicks", I had hoped you would see were a bit sarcastict. There is no way I can answer your question. Many of us think we would do this or feel that way about something, but we can't really know how it would effect us.
What if the group across the street influenced my 16 year old son to carrying a bomb and he blew himself up. Now what if that US bomb, that tore my wifes arm off, actually hit the bastards across the street and killed them. Would I be happy they were killed for what they did to my son, even though my wife is injured? If I lived there, would it really bother me that much that my wife is injured; woman are second class there you know (even the Interim gov. was squabbling about a woman in their ranks nine months ago).
How can you know these things unless you are really from that culture and have experienced the situation? I have a 19 year old daughter, as I have said before, if she were in the armed service and were killed in Iraq, it would kill me inside, but I would still be unbelievably proud of her sacrifice for her country and for doing her best to help other human beings to have a better life.

Then Mexico got a big back bone and took over Texas, in the process injuring my wife, hell yes I would be mad at Mexico for injuring her.
