my name is ayernye... sometimes i go by stephan... it used to be stephen mcguire back when i was a witness in the wilmington and groton massachusetts congregations from '83 - '94.
was a pioneer and ministerial servant and was married for two of those years.
with tremendous agony and confusion, i moved far away to discover myself... took years to adjust to my new reality... drugs... drinking... anything to numb my tired brain... but the transformation was eventual and so worth it... of course... i am now my own person... mostly happy, adjusted and living my life to the best i can... .
Can I be in your film?
I'll play the part of "a friend in need".
"Get out of here NOW!"
How'd I do, how'd I do?
Sorry Ayernye... it's an inside joke about a witness who resides here trying to save the weary.

i am not sure if alan f. or others have posted this but the following is from talk origins.. .
i thought some of you may find the following interesting with respect to young-earth creationist arguments:.

Does this topic also cover Young/Old humans?

Discovered along the Omo River in Ethiopia, by paleontologist Richard Leakey, the fossils, called Omo I and Omo II, were originally assigned a tentative age of 130,000 years.

the standard watchtower teaching about the coming "paradise earth" has, as its most prominent feature, the promise of everlasting life and eternal youth.
this expectation is especially based on such texts as revelation 21:1-4 which declares: "i saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea.
i saw the holy city, and the new jerusalem, coming down from god out of heaven.... here god lives among men.
Leolaia,
Great research! Thanks so much.

after lurking about for a while i finally decided to join the board.
i have never done anything like this and was amazed at how stressful it was to sign up and press the return key to join up and actually post something.
just a quick bio: 41 year old lawyer who was raised a jw but had the good sense to never get baptized.
Welcome Big Dog.
My daughter - whom I helped raise in the bOrg - started shunning me about a year ago. Like you, I feel more concern of her being in it, than I do her shunning me. I hope she wakes up before I did.
Take care,
Bryan

Men and women have been drawn and quarted into body parts for probably thousands of years. Though, today in the mind of the collected bOrg, it means the END... Armageddon!

someone came out with the tired old claim that the site is dying, there is a mas exodus, yada yada yada.
some people would really love for that to happen, i know .... we have gone down a few places on bigboards simply because some new sites were added to it that have more posts - the sites we are ranked alongside all went down by the same amount at the same time and we've gone up against some and down against others (not that sheer post numbers matter that much).
also, a combination of optimising page caching and alexa changing how they rank things has reduced the ranking on that too ... but how are we really doing?.
Personalities will clash at times no matter where you are.
I think you've done a great job and service to those who really need it (ME).
I don't agree with you, Simon, on somethings, but you have done a wonderful thing here.
Thanks,
Bryan

do you believe in the bible just because you were raised to believe?
are you sure it's "believable"?
.....have you convinced yourself the bible is just another book?
I have a bit of a problem with the bible. It says man in only 6000 years old. We know that's not true. Until someone can explain this, I have to consider it a great book, but not exactly a totally inspired word of god.
