.
i used to live in battle creek michigan and went to a kingdon hall in that area for a couple years.. there was a family i especially remember and their daughter stefanie "sue" young whom i would love to get in contact with last i heard she was no longer a dub.this family lived on beadle lake.
I hope you find your friend. There are a few old friends that I'm pretty sure have left that I would like to see again.

for his birthday, little patrick asked for a 10-speed bicycle.
father said, "son, we'd give you one, but the mortgage on this house is.
$80,000 & your mother just lost her job.
very funny!

i have been wanting to be part on this group for a little while... so here i am!
some of you have met or talked to my husband, bryan.
he is the xjw; i'm here to better understand some of the stuff he is has gone through in his life, as well as what he is going through... and i must say that after meeting a few of you at the dallas apostafest, i already understand a step better... but i also understand that the road will be long; and i am ready!.
Welcome, Aimee!

just a newbie here trying to aquaint myself.
i can' t say how thrilled i was to find out that this site existed!
it was actually shown to me by my sister - who by the way - with you're help- has seen the truth about the "truth" and is in the process of learning to live a normal life.
Welcome, to both of you.

i'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts on this are.
do you feel that it is possible to obsess about the past (in particular about history as a jw) to the point that it hinders you from living a full life?
if you think this is possible, how do you know when the past is taking over?
That is a very nice quote, Blondie.

randy was kind enough to recently post my story on his website (www.exjws.net/pioneers/rjjw.htm) the response i received was overwhelming, with many invitations to join this discussion forum.
i won't go into my story, as it is posted and, as long as it is, is really only the tip of the iceberg.
the more i read and the more i talk to former jw's, the more i'm convinced that i have been duped..something i never thought would happen to me, as cynical as i am.
Welcome to the board!
