At the factory we were dismissed from our machines around 11:40am, went back to the locker rooms and cleaned up, changed, and was at the bethel tables at 12 noon.
Noon prayer, eat fast, dismissal prayer at 12:30pm, had to be back at our machines at 1pm.
Yes, it was fast.
The only exception to this was the day of the Gilead graduation. On that day we were let out early from work and given a lighter schedule about getting back to our machines... Gymbob
Thanks Gymbob, I was looking for a time line. That's one hour and twenty minites. How long (miles) is the walk from the factory to the lunch room? I remember you had to cross a park.
Man that can get old fast!
Also did you have to travel in group cause of safety issues? I am remembering what I was told back in the 60's.
It it better know or is it still a high crime area? Thanks GH

by crazyblondeb innot as good as they use too... but then again they are following the lead of the wts.
why bother with fellowship when you can plug everyone into the telephone.. one one hand they are pushing fs, on the other they are making so many changes that several of the elderly are getting depressed, especially ever since the may 1, 2007 qfr.
with the afternoon bs soon yanked, many not allowed to drive at night, and elderships that don't care enough to orchestrate carpools....it is bad..

An old friend of mine is dieing slowly from liver disease, hepatitis, and diabetes.
He is still a JW. I think he listens in on the meetings on the telephone.
I found out that no one from the kingdom hall visits him.
I always drop in every 2 days to see him and cheer him up.
He knows that I hate the JW's. He seems to be tolerate of my position.
When he feels like going out, I get him to do non JW things and have fun at the same time.
He said man if I get caught doing this I would have meet the elders at the back room.
I told him just have fun I'll never tell. I took pictures of the class and he hide them. -

When you are working at the factory how long is lunch?
I remember they they would walk a mile or so across a park.
Then take a shower, then get dressed in a suit and tie, then go to the lunch room.
Wait for the prayer, Then eat listen to some speech on the Closed TV system.
Then say a prayer then finish eating. Then go up to your room, get dressed into your work clothes,
Then walk another mile or two across the park then go back to work.
This seems to be a lot of work. How many hours to they get off for this lunch?

the aux pioneers are changing to 35 as well, but when is this all to start.

How would you compare the XD to a glock?
<br><br>Never owned a Glock so I couldn't say.
<br><br>The XD has a grip and a trigger safety and now Springfield has added a thumb safety as well. And now they have the new M-factor XD's, with match grade barrels.
<br><br>I'm very happy with the accuracy. Disassembly is fairly simple, but you've got to be careful with the recoil spring on the 5" models. When I took mine out for cleaning, the guide rod shot all the way across the room.
<br><br>I while back I was looking to buy a GLOCK 26. Shot it, and it did not feel good to me Then I tried the XD sub compact in 9 mm . That shot better for me. So I got the XD mainly because of the safeties. The GLOCK felted like a brick. The XD melted into my hands. The GLOCKS do have a cult following, but I still like the XD. There are more after market extras for GLOCK than XD,s.

What helped me. I borrowed a laser and put it on the picatinny rail. Then you can really see how your hand shakes. I found out that my grip was wrong. (I had a death grip on the gun) Then ask some old shooters how they do it. That is what really helped me

Congrats on the new XD! Practice dry firing. Remove mag and pull back on slide to see and feel empty chamber. Make sure ammo is in other room. Go into the other room and check gun again to make sure gun is unloaded (Yes double check). Then cock slide on your unloaded XD and aim in a safe direction then balance a quarter on the front sight, pull back on the trigger slowly until you hear click. The quarter should not fall off. Use the first pad of your finger (just under the nail) to squeeze the trigger. Do this for 15 min. You will improve. Important if you get distracted from a phone call or any kind of brake when coming back make sure gun is unloaded!! and continual to dry fire. The XD family is a striker firing gun so you can dry fire all day without damage. Safety first GH

I went to a JWs house a couple of years ago. In the living room was about 10 feet of Yearly bound volumes of the watchtower and awake books from back in the 40s to the year 2004. I was waiting for everyone cause we were going out to eat. I stood up in front of the books and said out loud. "Can JWs get a trans plant operation?" I then pointed to the books in group and said "YES" then pointed to another group of books and said "NO" then yes again. Boy did I get funny looks. I think they were saying to them selves is this guy a brother?
