  Did you get " Counseled " about the Music you Listened to While you were a JW ?

  from the time i was a small boy - i loved rock n' roll music.

  beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, hendrix.

  i started getting slighted for the music i listened to as i lay in my bedroom listening on headphones to led zeppelin's song " black dog " at age 14 with my elder dad looking suspiciously at me as i'm rocking out .

  In the mid 60s I loved to listen to Led zep. I played whole lot of love so loud my parents can hear it down the street. Wow they broke the record. My folks listened to lawrence welk music. I always thought when I get old I will hate rock and roll and love lawrence welk. Guess what I am old and still like rock. I play it loud in my Jeep and at home. My kids think am a cool dad at 65.

  So Jeff T I did a search for King Crimson on DEEZER music service, I found it.

  That brought back memories

  Just to add I hated when there was a "sister" who said not to listen to Carlos Santana because "Santana" means Satin. So sick

  The slow trickle has become a steady stream!

  in the last few weeks it seems that instead of one or two new posters a week we seem to be getting several every day.

  many seem to be long time jw's who are troubled by the path of the organisation.

  this is really encouraging to those of us who have been here sometime.. welcome!

  based on the new garlic bread parable in this month's broadcast with the illustration using loaves of bread.

  it is obvious that the doors of the arc has been closed shut by jehovah's hand for some of us.. according to the new parable that can be found on jw tv.

  speaking with inlaws i another congregation today who said exactly what is being said in our own hall.

  the trolly work is long and boring and no one even notices they are there anymore but walk right on by.

  jehovah really is speeding up the work lol.

  In my town I see the carts at the train/bus depot and the county court house campus. Some times I recognize them so I give them a wide berth . However in downtown Seattle am with my daughter and I walk up to them and ask them if they are Mormons. They say say no " were are JW"s. But I just go on and on about the Mormons and how I think they are the same. Meanwell my daughter is pulling on my arm saying Dad stop it ,lets go.

  johnny the bethelite on this program talks about the older bethelites being targeted by watchtower.they are getting rid of those at bethel who are 65-87 years old, some being anointed even the widows of former governing body members who gave decades of loyal service time to the watchtower organization.. the reasons the very elderly are being expelled are money in that for their age range they cost so much to cloth, fed, and medicate, having problems from high blood pressure to dementia.

  I think this is disgusting, inhuman on many accounts and unchristian.

  I know Watchtower reads these treads. I am going to tell this story to a talk radio Host. This will get national attention. So Watchtower read my lips

  Please give these seniors the respect they deserve. Give them the dignity to live out there lives inconfort.

  If I hear no change in your policy I will go public.
