  How Many Here EVER Considered Going Back To Meetings?

  once i left ,i was done.

  in over 10 years i didn't return except for my mother's funeral.

  did you ever re enter the kh after you left?.

  I walk away about 1995. Been in a KH 3 times once invited to repair an electronic panel in the mechanical room (they did not know I was worldy yet)

  I said I no longer had the software to look at. When I was there the "pioneer sisters" were very nosy on who I was. they were in the back room getting ready to go in "service" I was rude to them like F** off.

  Next time I was on a long car trip and stop to see some old JW friends.

  I had no Idea it was the memorial. To be nice they got me a white shirt and tie to wear. Got to shake hands with the group. I also introduced to the circuit overseer. I shock hands with him and under my breath I said F U A hole. So After the song and 5 mins in, I said I had to go to the rest room. Then I went out to my jeep and listened to music.

  The last time.was 10 years ago I was on a 3200 mile trip and looked up an old JW friend . He had to attend his sunday meeting. So I just walked out side a stayed in his car. But I did go in just to use the bath room . After I was standing out side waiting for him and the JWs wanted to know who I was. I told them I was XXX buddy from 50 years. Boy they looked puzzled, wondering why I never came in. So that is my story.

  What would happen to a JW who respectfully refused to fill out a no blood DPA?

  i know you'll be involuntarily disassociated if you unrepentantly accepted a blood transfusion; and i know you'll be disfellowshipped for apostasy if you openly disagreed with watchtower teaching.

  what if you have done none of the above but simply respectfully refused to fill out the dpa without giving any reason for your refusal - so they can't accuse you of openly disagreeing with the no-blood doctrine and df you for apostasy.

  they don't know why you're refusing and you're not giving them the reason - and you're being very respectful.. what can they do?.

  Tacoma Dome Conventions

  so i went to visit my jw aging mother this week (i've been df'd for 40 years) and she told me she needs to give the people who are taking her to the convention $10 each day of the convention to cover gas?

  my uber elder cousin told her she needs to do this!!!

  I remember the parking lot scandal. I never gave them any money. I drove up and the parking lot attendants ask me for my dash board permit and I always looked surprised and they said just give a donation at the box. I always hated the way they had you park you car so every one was blocked in. (just another way to pack in more cars to make more money. I saw through this in my early 30s. } I should open a new tread for assembly gripes . Sorry I was off topic but the Tacoma Dome parking scandal got to me.

  Im surprised the management of the building allows that doorway to be blocked. The doors may not be used however I bet those doors serve as a emergency fire exit! They are fools.

  Convention invitations

  so everyone is supposed to get all excited about the invitation work starting tomorrow, according to the announcement from the platform.. maybe this makes sense if you're giving out invitations in the city where the convention is, but what if you're many hours away?.

  a huge part of western canada is scheduled to attend edmonton alberta this july.

  so how does that go over giving out invitations in winnipeg, about a 13 hour drive(that's just driving time).. i know some are actually planning on flying there, so i can't see getting excited about getting the public to make the trek.. i was curious how this is going over in other areas?.

  If you did come odds are you come in normal street wear. You would stand out and really feel out of place. Its like going to a Mormon temple in a tank top!

  i pretty much did it all.

  vacation pioneered as a youngster and became a regular pioneer out of school.

  i became a ms then an elder.....the organization pushes you to be somebody within the confines of their realm.

  The only ladder I climbed was at the "quick Builds" 10 feet or so to work on ceilings. Hated door to door work, meetings. Lied about my "service time"
