  about a year ago i started going to a local christain church.

  they were good to me.

  i missed the the jw type of always find some one to hang around with.

  How do the members that carry handle going onto school grounds for church meetings? Just curious here.

  This was a large group of 3 cong. It was a large group that a school was rented. The regular church was not in a school..

  Have you told anyone in this religion that you carry a weapon at all times? If you get a smile of recognition your in the right church.

  Yes. I told one member. They dont care. In fact after that Texas church shooting there is about 5 members that carry.

  I tried being religion free for about 20 years. Just was invited to a church group. So I tried it. The love bombing reminded me how the JWs treat new ones. I then I slacked off going to church and they called me many times then door knocking. Kind of gave me the creaps

  About a year ago I started going to a local christain church. They were good to me. I missed the the Jw type of always find some one to hang around with. However they want me to come to all there group meetings and have a bible study and more and more. Then they wanted me to attend a new cong. In a school very close to me. (they rent an area in the school)

  Of course all schools in the USA are GFZ so I will never go on the school grounds. This makes it very hard for me to explain my stance of not going to any school. (middle school). They are getting to show up at my place and calling me why they miss me and they are reminding me of JW and how they behave . Is this normal for church groups to do this ? Or am I over reacting because of leaving JWs 25 years ago?

  My Father passed away & i'm suicidal. I want to talk to somebody

  in summary, my dad passed away not to long ago, 8 months ago, on april while i was 12. i'm 13 and i've been grieving for 6 months now and im suicidal.

  i'm not doing this to get attention, but to talk to someone.

  my dad was a jehovah's witness and i want to talk to all of you.

  I felt the same way you did. Please get help. I called the hot line and they told me to walk in the nearest ER dept. at the hospital. I was treated with respect and they realy help . Just open up to them. this is the advice you will get from your friends on this forum

  can you still record the talks at assemblies?

  years ago my parents would record these talks and play them back all the time.

  when they both died, we cleaned out the house and found 50 plus cassette tapes of recorded talks and they were labeled the year and the speaker at the time.

  that was in the year 2000. we just gave them to there jw friends because i did not want to keep them for recording of music.

  Wow, things have changed. When I was "in" it was cassette recording they have out put jacks on tables on the back wall. now its on the internet.

  It puzzles me that the recordings are for personal use and not for major distribution. But yet the talks are on the internet for major distribution.

  there rules were confusing to me. when I finely understood what was going on then they change them again.
