Did you guys notice that I use a buzz word sentence as the topic. If I said this topic in another forum the forum readers would say what the H*** is he talking about. But yet every one here knows what I mean. (I hope)

The End of Circuit Overseers
by scotsman inis indeed apparently nigh as another poster predicted along with the end of the weekly bs.
not sure when this should take place but i'm reliably informed by a family member that one of the uk's overseers was talking about it fairly recently.
reduced to weekend visits by an outside but local elder instead.. i have no further info..

What's the BEST thing about being "out" of the "truth"?
by B_Deserter infor me, it's having friends that i don't have to hide my lack of meeting attendance/service from.
it's amazing how they teach you that only jws can be your real friends, but in reality, it's all contingent upon your religious "performance.
" sure, if you're not going to meetings, they'll try to be "friends," by encouraging you to go back.

West coast for sure. Washington state has volcanoes and glaciers. I also had some friends of mine from South Africa visit they enjoyed it! We have trees so big you can "drive thru" You can see wales from the ferry, or take a drive to eastern part of the state were it is very dry. On the coast is a rain forest. Drive south and check out Oregon and California and Hollywood. Then on to Las Vegas Nevada. I can be your tour guide in Washington.

Watchtower -- publishing corrections to earlier books -- any examples?
by Fatfreek inerrata: a list of errors and their corrections or additions to the printing, found after book has been printed, usually on separate sheet or slip of paper.
... (internet).
recently (2006) our friend atlantis posted a download link to the society's equivalent to an errata for their "revelation-its grand climax at hand".

The Butchering of the English Language.
by Low-Key Lysmith ini am disturbed by the recent trend in the media in america that encourages the butchering of our english language.. i'm talking about examples of film titles like "she hate me", "how she move", & "baby mama".
does it really take that much effort to add an "s" to the end of a word?
now, before i am decried as a racist, please note that nowhere in any of my statements have i isolated any particular race.

WHAT MADE YOU LEAVE? Doctrine or people?
by chuckyy inhi.. just wondering what made you take the final leap out of the org?
was it doctrinal in that certain things just didnt add up or was it because of the actions of people in the org.
that made you leave?

This really brings back some bad memories. At first it was the people. (abuse from my ex wife) Hate the gossip! Then after a year I was hurt by the UN scandal and the Tacoma parking lot scandal, I was raised as a JW all my life, they taught me to have a good conscience, and a lover of truth and righteousness. Due to my conscience I got away from the unclean thing!!!!!!!!

Do good works by JWs count for anything?
by greendawn inwe all know that the wts like so many other cults is an exploitative organisation that works with a great depth of deception that's not easy for many to grasp.
but will the works done by jws for this religion count in their favour if they were done in good faith?
at least the ones that didn't directly harm anyone?

What good works? the insurance fraud after Katrina? umm,no. As already mentioned, spreading the false gospel is considered a sin by some. What is this Katrina insurance fraud? GH
