WOW!!! This is astounding!!! Would it be possible for anyone here to provide me with the actual scriptures and commentary? My mother is still a member of the borg, and I am trying to show her how wrong this religion is. I've told her about the child molestation thing, but I think she needs more proof. I think that maybe Dateline should do a story about this one!!! I'm sure it would get alot of attention.

i had a victim call me after they had called bethel this morning.
they were informed bethe was offically closed till 1:30 pm for a special meeting with the bethel family.
would anyone care to speculate or verify the purpose of the meeting?
WoW!!!!!!!!!!!All of this is sooooooo interesting!!!!! I was raised in the truth, and I never knew that any of this occured!!!!! I am floored! My mother is still an active member. What do you suppose the reaction would be if she were to inquire of these events you all speak of...i.e. the Bonham incident? (which I still only know little about) Do you think they would answer her, or do you think they would get scared and ask her who she has been speaking to? I am really interested in these past occurences, and this entire subject. I would appreciate it if you all could send me some information via e-mail? My addy is [email protected]
I am still in shock!! I wish I had done my research when I was a member. And I wish that I knew awhile ago what I have learned from this site....maybe then I would have been able to defend myself better when badgered by the elders about doing my own research.

Well I am just absolutely sickened! That is horrible. Wow...this is really pissing me off, how they have such audasity (forgive me if I spelled that wrong) to speak badly of intellectual accomplishments...and what the hell is the 'blah blah blah' crap? Couldn't they finish the sentences? Or is that just their cover-up for stealing words from someone who actually knows what they are talking about????

a side of relief for me but angry for what happened after the announcement of my disfellowship from the wts.
i urged my mother not to attend because of the emotional trauma and agony you experience.
she's diabetics and any emotional let down can cause her serious problems.

My condolences on your mother's illness, and I am sorry the way it all turned out at the hall....but I congradulate you on finally being free of those cult bonds. Just keep remembering that it is all for the best...really. Hopefully, your mother will see this in due time...that the org just offers a false sense of hope and love.

i never told her i wasn't df but she gets facts confussed alot.. anyway i sent the post on barbra anderson from our site to her you might find it interesting so i'm posting it below.. .

when i was a dub, one of the things we talked about was how wonderful it was to be free of terrible feelings of fear and guilt because of false religions teaching of hell.
we would reason with householders about the pure ludicrousness of a god of love torturing his children.
then we would turn around and say how important it was to be at the meetings so we wouldnt die at armageddon.
I couldn't agree more!!!! My mother is still a dub, and she is always reminding me that I 'can come back, but time is running out'. She says that the possibility of not seeing me in the paradise hurts her. I remember all of the guilt I used to feel when thinking about 'my sins' and how they've affected my chances of surviving Armageddon. It is a terrible thing.
