Our territory was a mixture of towns, where we would walk, and rural, where we would drive.
But the best morning ever on the field service was a lovely summers day. We did rural work, but walked between all the houses. We did about 3 hours, about 20 doors and spoke to about 4 people. And there was about 6 of us and we had a real giggle.

ok, door to door question.......
by freedom96 ini am always teasing my wife about having a "country club" upbringing as a witness.. in the hall i grew up in, and those i attended for a few years after turning 18, were pretty hard core.
i tease her about how easy she had it.
which, in my mind was clearly the case, but that is another story.. this case involves going out in service.. in my halls, you went out almost regardless of weather.

My Mum lives in Dubai most of the time and goes to the meetings there. They only have 3 meetings a week, all in someones house. They are allowed to informal witness to any non-muslim people there. Actually seemed a nice way of doing thing, because the congregation was just people who lived there for business it didnt seem to have the same attitude about people missing meetings.

This was actually a simplification, under the old system they had to print a copy of the yearbook and days text for every member of the family, by seperating them one year book can be used by the whole family and each member only needs the days text -

Mary, Derren Brown sounds the complete oppersite of 'John Edwards'. Did the whole comunicating with the dead and convinced a whole group of people they were talking to a dead woman and got them to do stuff like pick her picture out of a pile and do 'ghost writing' to see where she lived. Then he brought out the woman at the end and said the whole thing was a hoax and explained how bits of it were done.

The Tsunami: A Time For New Architechture?
by Valis inyou know after the tsunami, i started thinking about discussions and ideas our good friend jim_tx talks about sometimes.
maybe some of the architechtural damage could have been avoided by stuff that "went w/the flow" as it were.
i was imagining islands covered w/domes instead of hut like or even regular style asian buildings.

not having attended a meeting in 4 years, we get a call saying they are concerned that they had heard we believe in evolution.
my partner said "not necesarily believe in it, im just not discounting it at this time.
