  For all those who have started or answered abuse threads lately.. :)

  there seem to have been a lot of threads lately on the subject of parental abuse and quite a few of us are still finding this really hard to cope with.

  i've been reading them and not getting uset as i would have done a while ago and was wondering why.i think i've finally worked it out and was just wondering if what i did could help you in the way it helped me.

  i had a physically and emotionally abusive home life until i left home at eighteen.i spend years alternatively trying to come to terms with it and blocking it all out.

  hello, just introducing myself.

  i'm an inactive witness, been so for a few months now.

  got put off mostly by 1914 being hammered more and more lately, the child molestation issue, the un-ngo thing and just feeling like i don't want to shoot my mouth off and get labelled apostate so best to fade out.

  ... but i think it would help me to relate it now.. a day before a big convention in montreal [i must've been 8 years old] my mother, who was running late as usual, was trying to get ready for an appointment.

  she was frantic and needed the bathroom mirror.

  i'm sitting on the commode and i remember finding a thrown out metal flimsy paper towel rack in the garbage so, i pick it up and i'm trying to bend it around, my mother storms into the bathroom, grabs the towel rack and screams, 'you know i'm in a hurry' and bashes my head in on top!

  LOL It wasn't !!!! I had absolutely no control over where we sat that day. My friends boyfriend had gone ahead to get seats and he wasnt with us the day before when we met Simon so wouldnt have known him. Makes you wonder about fate

  Movies you are ashamed to admit you HATED!

  for me i am ashamed to admit that i hated "black hawk down.".

  everybody told me that is was this great millitary movie.

  i know that it was based on real life, but i was so bored i actually walked out of the movie and i don't do it that often.. also i hated "gladiator.".

  LOTR (part 1 is all I saw)

  The first LOTR was a bit slow in places but alot of it was setting the scene I think, I prefered the others, the last one especially !!

  just a reminder / clarification.. i'm not interested in public debate or questioning about hwo the forum is run, especially individual decisions we make.. if you have any questions about anything or want to challenge any decision then do it via email or pm.

  any posts like this made on the main board will be deleted and, if continued, will result in suspension of the account used (as happened with minimus who's account has now been reactivated).

  i'm sure you will appreciate the reason for this.

  They can email, but it would help if they were willing to wait for a reply due to timezones etc.
