  A proposal... What do y'all think?

  i love this site, i really do.

  it has helped thousands upon thousands of people to sort things out, and see ttatt.

  i would like to propose something to help with the healing process and help people become ex-exjw's, if possible.

  There are always people leaving that need to talk over the issues involved - the site will continue to be here for that.

  There are plenty of non-Jw related discussions and areas like you mentioned in your opening post which is good and healthy but overall the forum will not be evolving into a non-JW forum, people read and comment on what interests them! Some people reach a stage where they move on to other interests and stop posting and become an ex-exjw which is great, we are just happy to have been here when they needed the site - others stay for various reasons as they may be still impacted in some ways even though they have been out for a long time, or they might just like it here ! continuing to post on this site does not really stop you "re-integrating into society"

  Do Facebook "Friends" That Constantly Brag, Irritate You?

  there are a few people who are fb friends that constantly brag about themselves, their looks, their accomplishments, their bodies, their job---etc.. one particular person is too close to ignore but it's never ending.

  i am thisclose to telling her, to please stop it.. any thoughts?.

  My facebook commandments:

  Don't tag me in random pictures I have no interest in or have nothing to do with.

  Don't share random pictures or inspirational sayings with me that say if you don't re-share this in the next 5 minutes you are heartless bitch and want all kittens to die.

  Don't send me app requests, I will just ignore then and probably block you if it keeps happening

  I really do not care about pictures of the back of your cell phone which happen to have your boobs in the background.

  You are able to tell your significant other that you love them daily without sharing it with the entire world

  Oh and if you post Happy VD day on Feb 14th - I'm not automatically thinking you mean Valentines Day

  Aaaahhhhh I feel better now - I really don't like facebook that much

  the killings, wallander, luther, dexter, braquo (french (english subbed) german (berlin berlin), sherlock, george gently, inspector frost, inspector lewis, did i say "dexter (though the ending was a bummer :( ) "orange is the new black", "house of cards", "mad men".. .

  can you add to my profile of movies and series i need to see?

  Game of Throne best thing on TV ! The books are even better.

  Once Upon a Time - weird concept but really well done

  We just finished Breaking Bad which we enjoyed too.

  I am probably one of the only people to like the ending to Dexter. - dazed

  I didn't mind the ending either it was good. Although if you read the ending planned by the orignal producer it would have been awesome

  Did JWN Discredit "JehovahIsJudgeUk" website?

  they use poor reasoning, they wiggle around the question and ignore the fact the watchtower was affiliated with the united nations.

  this website fails to ignore the facts that we were not allowed to join the ymca even though we did not follow the charter rules, the watchtower agreed to follow the un charter and did so from 1992 to 2001 when the scandal was exposed.. .

  have any of you seen works to debunk their slanted arguments and dishonest play of words?.

  I know this scientist (quotes long list of qualifications) and he goes to church - so there !

  "You weren't there so you don't know" .... closely followed by "but we can know because there's a book that was written" (forgetting the book was also written when we weren't there so how does he know it is right)

  The Pastor of my Old Church Tried to Re-Convert Me Yesterday

  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

The only 'interest' we have in any other site is making sure that any crap from elsewhere doesn't spill over onto here and disrupt things ... like is happening on this topic. Really, it sounds like people don't even know which other site they are even refering to. It doesn't matter because it's nothing to do with this site or this subject.

  For the many who remember "just2laws," he had a massive heart attack last night...

  and died at home in panama city beach, florida.

  steve imhof, a bethelite in the 1970s and former very active elder who became a very vocal wt critic starting in 2002, was 65 years old when he died.

  he was father to three children and two grandchildren.

  henry 51bs 12 oz,eve 51bs 14 oz...phil my grnason by marriage just called.. ashley the new mum) my granddaughter who herself was a twin,from my melanie who died when she was 42(cancer).

  they are doing well born by ceaserian at 2.40p.m today!!!!!

  If that is what you had started with I think people would have been more understanding and open to the discussion but when you start by comparing it to the holocaust you have just lost the arguement before you started - there is no comparision
