Eddie Izzard - the Marathon Man!
by LoveUniHateExams incongratulations to one eddie izzard.. he ran 27 marathons in 27 days, a total of 707 miles.. he's 54 years old and doesn't look like an athlete.
but he sure does a damn fine impression!
he completed this trek across south africa to raise money for sport relief.

Amazing, especially as he had to run two marathons in one day as he was forced to take a rest day at some point along the way -

Office Jargon, drives me nuts
by punkofnice in'granular' seems to be the latest buzz word going around my office.
previously it was 'appetite'.. abstract words that appear to be designed to make the person saying it appear powerful and part of the 'team'.. as lord sugar has observed before; why not just speak english and say what you mean.. office jargon really annoys me.
i had enough loaded language and jargon in the disgusting jw cult..

Ping - as in you'll email someone, big in my office and really grates on me
Proactive also seems to be the latest buzzword that is being thrown around lately. One of the senior managers I work with loves the word paradigm, when we have our quarterly meetings a couple of us like to play buzzword bingo and see how long it takes for the favorite words to be thrown out

What did you have for Christmas dinner?
by GrreatTeacher inmy inlaws are polish, though my husband is a 3rd generation american, but the food traditions have stuck around.. we have christmas eve dinner starting with red beet soup with sour cream, pierogies filled with mashed potatoes or saurkraut, ham, polish sausage sliced and cooked with saurkraut, turkey (that part is american), krischickies (likely spelled wrong) which are crispy pastries dipped in powdered sugar, and apple pie (also american.).
there are goodnatured threats toward bad children who may need to get their dupa busted (butt spanked) and therefore santa will bring figismachen.
i also love golabkis (ground beef and rice wrapped in cabbage leaves), but these were not served this time.

We'll be having chicken, roast potatos, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, carrots and swede mashed in butter and brussel sprouts.
Simon will make the gravy and then declare that it's the gravy that makes the meal.

Had any weird dreams recently?
by LoveUniHateExams inso, i'll go first.. i dreamt last night that i was still at uni, i said goodbye to one of my lecturers.
then ulrika jonsson (former weather girl, shooting stars captain, and swedish nymphomaniac) gave me a lift home in her car - wtf?!
she kept trying to change the cd whilst trying to drive (reaching on the floor, looking for a cd).

I had a dream that I was physically thrown out of a store because I was walking around holding a big saucepan lid, does that count as weird? - Simon says I am and sometimes looks kind of scared if I tell him about my dreams

Lets start a "Go Fund Me" for those special pioneers being kicked to the curb by the GB,.
by notjustyet inlots of great potential to help those sp that are being sent off without any financial help from the wtbts.
i think that it would be a great way to get some exposure on this topic and how the wtbts thats those that dedicated their lives to the wtbts only to be sent packing at a late age.
then someone can take the funds to one sp couple, possibly, and give it to them in honor of the apostates that know what is really happening.

In my opinion sending her to jail instead of fining her was a strategic mistake. She's been made more powerful.
Fining her wouldn't affect her at all as her supporters would have paid the fine for her

Cecil the Lion deserved what he got...That's right. I said it.
by cappytan inlions are notorious murderers of beautiful zebras, antelope and other graceful exotic animals.
cecil probably contributed to the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of animals.
what happened to him was justice.. you reap what you sow.

He stalked prey to feed himself and offspring.
Yes, and to make this even more tragic his cubs are likely to be killed now as another male will come in and take over the pride

This is under the "HUMOR" section
Well that doesn't automatically make it funny
