  Question re Shepherding

  i've been asked to post this on behalf on someone.. can a person have any action taken against them if they refuse to accept a shepherding call?.

  the circumstances are that they do not go out on service, but are regular at meetings.

  they want to serve jehovah, but have lost all faith in the eldership arrangement.

  despite an abundance of evidence that hits at the heart of the wts, it should be no surprise that many seem to ignore everything and continue.

  you may wonder why particularly as many of us were in the wts and did not ignore the comprehensive mass of proof against the claims and teachings made.

  typically brothers can enjoy themselves as elders.

  I'm so glad we have left while we are young, and the kids haven't been affected.

  Some people have given so much of their lives to the 'truth'. You can understand why they choose to put their fingers in their ears. Also it is such a huge part of people's lives, some wouldn't be the same people if they didn't have it.

  dear all.

  i'm a new chap here, one of the old h2o refugees who seem to have been streaming to this place recently.. englishman suggested i post my "christmas shopping" post as a kind of introductory-hi-and-how-are-you.

  hope you like it, despite it not being terribly seasonal at the moment.. i'll look forward to posting here in the future (original stuff i mean, not just reheated "greatest hits" like this).

  The circumstances are that they do not go out on service, but are regular at meetings. They want to serve Jehovah, but have lost all faith in the eldership arrangement. Up to now they have just made various excuses, but would like to say No outright, but they are worried that something would be done to them.

  Any comments would be appreciated

  I still believe in some sort of higher being ('God'), but I don't think it is like the society teaches.

  Also after learning a lot more about science and the Earth I cannot believe in the creation theory, evolution must happen and is happening.
