  Stupid JW Parents <oh! excuse me>

  i don't know what conjured this memory up... maybe it was the cabbage patch dolls/bedtime story thread.... when i was a kid, maybe 10 years old, bodily functions were hilarious in my house (even for us girls).

  it was common for one of us kids to "let one rip" and dad to feign irritation and say, "who did that?!

  " (it was even funnier when the culprit was my mother, who would invariably blame the youngest child for the gasseousness.).

  Reminds me of a time in our hall when a very large sister let one rip very loudly, her husband quickly leaned over and slapped one of the kids heads. This kid was not going to take the blame and yelled out "but dad, it was mum". He promtely received another slap accross his head.

  Apart from my own, I don't remember a wedding at the hall where it wasn't sang. The tune was so boring and depressing.

  Looking for diet pal(s)

  i'm starting a new diet today and would like to find some diet pals here.

  we could share tips, stories, wins, losses, trade suggestions, and just do the sort of thing a weight watcher's might do.

  i did go to ww for a while, but now have my two little grandsons staying with me and can't get to a ww meeting.. hopin' to hear from you!.

  hi, all; i posted a bit without introducing myself, and i apologize.. i'm reagan, i was a jw for the first 20 years of my life.

  parents are still very involved in the organization (dad's the po in their congregation, mom's a reg.

  today, april 20th, is the fourth anniversary of a very special day in my life.. the anniversary of my rebirth.. this rebirth was not a religious experience, but it was something totally pure, amazing and healing.. it had nothing at all to do with the society, or rather, of freeing myself from it.

  it was however, a giant first step in that direction.. today is the fourth anniversary of the day i got letter that changed everything.

  the words on the pages were alive, and magical: they released me from my old life and for the first time.

  An update for y'all......

  having been an infrequent visitor at best over the past few weeks, thought i'd write and let you know how i'm doing.. first of all, let me say thank you to all of you who have written to make sure i'm ok.. i was hoping not to develop a pregnancy migraine, but i got it.

  i had it for almost a month with eden, and it's going on three weeks now.

  i have barely been able to keep up with work.
