Funny Shunning....
by Scully inwe were shopping yesterday when i noticed a jw woman from our old congregation in one of the aisles.
normally i would go up and say hello, because i'm neither dfd or dad, but we were in a bit of a hurry, and i didn't want to spend much time in frivolous small talk.
a little background on her: when we knew her she was a pioneer, and could very well still be one; her mother is a pioneer; her twin sister is a pioneer, etc.... you get the idea.

That was a classic Scully, she had to protect herself from your aposta-ray.
I had one a while ago, I was walking across the school car park, there was an elder collecting his grandson. First I got the startled rabbit in head-lights look when he saw me, then he turned his head right away and looked up (so he was walking in a very funny position). Unfortunatly he walked stright into a kerb and nearly fell into a car that was parked. It cheered me up no end

Off to North Wales!
by BritBoy ingiven all the arguments and people leaving this site in their droves... some happy news is that i am off to north wales until thursday to do nothing but walk on the coast with matt and darcy, eat loads of food, drink loads of booze and generally relax!
given that upon my return i have to go into hospital (yip again) to have a biopsy done on my right lung and lymph nodes... uuuuurggghhhh .
in the meantime, i hope things settle down on this board and i return to the happy, informative, amusing, enlightening, mind expanding posts i found when i first joined almost a year ago!!.

Death and Forgiveness
by Mommie Dark inmy father died wednesday night.
he's been bedridden, paralyzed, and tube fed for nearly five years, so it was more release than tragedy.. those of you who know my story will understand the miserable mix of emotions his passing has caused.
the whole guilt and forgiveness issue shoved itself right up my nose into my forebrain.
