Hi Momof4
Welcome, hope to hear more from you
i wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
i am probably one of the longest lurkers here ever.
i've been lurking for almost three years now, and i enjoy reading a lot of the posts.
Hi Momof4
Welcome, hope to hear more from you
any ideas?
i'm shopping online for birthday presents for my husband's 3 year old twin cousins (1 boy, 1 girl).
i really don't know what 3 year olds like or what is "hot" right now in the toy business.
*thinks Simon's boys need a really cool drum set *
NOOOOOOO Anything that involves getting messy usually goes down well, crafts and art things. Our two have always loved anything to do with building, lego, bricks, stickle bricks. Marble runs are great fun too - goes for boys and girls. You can get some great sturdy wooden ones that can be put together in different ways. (avoid flimsy plastic toys at this age as three year old are pretty heavy handed and easily frustrated)
hey everyone!
today is mulan's birthday.
my dad took her to vegas for the week so she won't be able to see this for a few days.
I'm a day late too Dana, just saw this!
Happy Birthday Mulan
Hope you had a great day
desib77 started a thread about changing her name.
made me think about my name, i've always liked it.
i doubt i would ever want to change it....so would you ever want to change yours and if so, to what?.
Don't you just love me getting specific? When I have read your name here on JWD I have heard: Ang as in bang and huhrod.
Its more like An - harrrad (emphasis on the r) - If its pronounced with a Welsh accent the r is sort of rolled off the tongue and very clear.
Alot of people pronounce it with the g and an o at the end - Ang- harod. I get called all sorts but don't mind as long as they don't call me Ann (another thing Simon does when he wants to bug me )

An - harad (silent g)
Simon calls me angry-head

I hated it when I was a kid but like it now because its different !!
i dont know if its my n.e.
upbringing, but how many of you out there enjoy a little ketchup with your eggs.
tabasco sauce doesn't count.
YES !!!
Simon thinks its disgusting - he says anything on eggs except HP Brown sauce is just wrong !!
okay, so i know it's not pc to be excited about a storm like hurricane frances, but i reckon since i'm stuck with it anyway, i may as well make the most out of it, hey?
we are just now getting the first feeler bands from the storm...the wind is gusting hard, blowing the rain in almost horizontal sheets.
it's so cool!
(((Dana & kids))))
Keep safe everyone.
such sad and tragic events for young kids to be caught up in.. which parents dropping their kids off for school would imagine that they would never be seen alive again.
perhaps final proof that "a hard-line approach" does not work.
all it does is escalate the violence and inhumanity.
Actually the British way is probably best - like with the IRA - not hardline but not soft either
The years of military action did nothing though other than perpetuate the conflict and the killing, what finally changed things was dialog - even giving former terrorists some of what they want (shared power in the case of N.I.)
i thought i might post a link to a test web page i have thrown up on my unfinished (no time to finish it) web site.
some of the old timers on the board have seen some of my commercial work that i have posted from time to time (the 3d image of caged headed watchtower robots) and a very few have seen some of my fine art pieces that have been either published or seen at my home.
this temporary web page is up for a few friends to see the start of this new series and for a few collectors of my art who wanted to see that i am doing fine art again (after an 8 year layoff) so they can get the hell off my back.. before clicking on the link please understand that the first pieces of this new series, that i have put five examples up of, are nudes.
Beautiful pictures Dave
Looking forward to seeing the next one
