Somewhere past numb~

as a loyal jw, i was ready for my whole world to come to an earth-shattering halt and for life as i knew it to be gone...at the hand of my loving god.

i would sit in school in my mental bubble and numb myself to the world around me.

i grew older and entered the adult world and was aloof in my thoughts that i could not attach myself to any workmates or neighbors and put out my hand in friendship as they could be dead tomorrow and i would have to be ok with that.

alamb...I am so glad that you can appreciate the world around you now. How sad to have stuffed all those emotions deep down inside for so long!!!

Even though I was raised a witness...I always had a mind of my own and I just never believed that all people were BAD!!! I had close friends at school and later I even had close adult friends that were not Witnesses. When I think back on it now, I guess I just did a really good job at keeping the 2 lives seperate. All my "worldly" friends knew that I was a Witness and they just didn't think twice about it. Some of the Witnesses knew that I had other friends, but they never really asked me about it. I don't know how I would have made it through school without my friends there!!!

I hope each and every day just gets better and better for you....

last summer i posted about an unusual empty web page at the watch tower's domain www.ccjw.org.

the otherwise blank page was simply titled "si projects".

It looks like they have lost the Holy Spirit after all!!! Just when I thought they were going to pull through all the bad publicity....

well, it's memorial season and mom has been giving me the "look" this past week ever since she has decided to pioneer for february and march.

anyways, the thing is i plan on buying a new car in the next couple months.

well, i know how my mom operates.

Damage caused by your pets?

after my dog chewed the internet cable and left me off line for 24 hours, i got inspired to post this topic.

have your pets caused damage in your house or even beyond?

my dog also chewed and ruined a couple of shoes and a ten pound note (around $18) that fell to the floor without me realising this.

Well, when my precious lab was younger (teenager) he ate a pair of my $150.00 pair of shoes...he has good taste! Then he grabbed my hubby's money clip with about $1000.00 full of $100.00 dollar bills....and ran all around the yard for about 30 minutes before we could catch him. He ate 1 and we taped the others back together!!! He loved to eat designer sunglasses too...at least $100-200...before he would even take a bite! I could go on....

What has been your response with telling "devout" JW's about the UN scandal

i was talking to a elderly jw's lady at the donut shop the other day and i brought up the un and the wt scandal.

this woman told me that i was lying and that jw's leaders would never be apart of a "satanic" org as the un.

she said that "apostates" are spreading vivious lies about jw's and are only telling half truths.

I told a number of people in the KH that I attended and then the elders pulled me aside and told me not to tell anyone else. Several couples that I was very good friends with no longer attend and have been inactive ever since. This included several elders!

I think the 10 second rule should apply here the same as it does for kids dropping their candy on the floor. You have to pick it up within 10 seconds of finding it!
