I wonder why there wasn't such an outcry when the officials gave the Cowboys a victory over the Panthers??? Even Troy Aikmen, who was announcing the game stated as much. He said that the Panthers had really won the game. No one seemed to care in the least, except us Panther fans. The NFL needs to make the changes that will be fair to all...but recently they said they upheld the officiating in the SB, so that doesn't seem likely.
It's over, get on with your life! It starts all over in August/September!
Swalker (We would probably have been in the SB instead of Seattle had we won against the Cowboys!)
the world has really gone mad...it's hard to imagine that this would happen to this guy:.

do the test: http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=15460.
my score:.
a very good score!
Here are your results:
You got 9 out of 12 right, or about 75%.
Unless you drink too much you shouldn't be in any danger of finding an "outie" when you were expecting an "innie"
I never drink too much!!!

i am unclear on this.
it seems for most religions leave this question up to the parents.

my witness mother has a rare form of leukemia -- fortunately she is doing well and it hasn't been an issue yet.
she notified me some time ago that she had completed forms to make one of the elders at her kh her power of attorney in the event that she required medical treatment.
she told me that she did this to relieve me and my siblings of having to make difficult decisions for her at that time -- meaning authorizing blood.
Of course, maybe one of the lawyers that post here may have a different viewpoint...but if she has a legal power of attorney document, I don't think there is anything you can do to overturn it. That's the reason she had it done while she was still in fairly good health, so that that issue could not be raised later on. She is definately making sure that her wishes are upheld regarding blood. Is it a medical power of attorney only? I hope she isn't giving them power for all her worldly goods!

ok. i've just read this in the march 2006 - i reckon its an out and out lie and i challenge anyone to find a school where this is happening.. this is in the young people ask section:.
'how can i say no to sex at school?'.
"every day, kids are talking about sex.
Gill...I happened to catch this show and believe me they had a number of interviews of kids admitting to this behavior. A number of parents and professionals were backing up these stories as well. What hit me the hardest was the fact that 11 and 12 yr olds were having oral sex and not understanding they were having sex! Mostly it was due to peer pressure and girls were coerced into it to be part of the group. My question was, "where are all the teachers?"

.
i'm quite new here, so i apologize if this topic has been covered.. the reason i ask this,, i was raised in the midwest.
a majority(more than 50%) of the children at the local congregation were homeschooled.. the end result was that these homeschooled kids had social problems, found it difficult making and keeping friends and were completely out of touch with the world.. as these kids became adults, rarely did they stay on as witnesses and usually went to the other extreme,, you know the old saying,, sex drugs and rock n' roll..
I admit that I home-schooled my kids at various times for various reasons. I always made sure they had plenty of friends though. 1 reason that I home-schooled my youngest son was that he was very, very active. I decided to harness some of that energy...so I put him through Kindergarten at age 4 and when he went to public school at 5, they put him in the 1st grade. He was taller than most kids in the 1st grade and they were almost tempted to move him to 2nd. (This was in the 80's!) Then when he got in High School he wanted to home-school again...we got a very top-notch home-school system, where all the work was done and graded online...(cost a lot but worth it) It was difficult to make him do all of his work sometimes and I think he would have done better in HS. However, that said, he is very smart academically. Usually he goes off the chart in reading/comprehension. Now, if I could just get him to understand how much a college education will benefit him!!! My oldest son went to college...computer science degree. I home-schooled him for 2 years...again very smart in reading/comprehension....
One of the years that I home-schooled my sons, my husband and I decided to travel all across the US and take them with us. We've been to every state except 3 (ND, Alaska, Maine). They both took scuba lessons, pilot training, and a host of other activities. (They were avid water and snow skiers) We've been all through the Carribbean and parts of Mexico and Canada. I tried to make part of each trip educational as well as fun.
Some of the kids that I saw home-schooled shouldn't have been, but others really blossomed. In most states, home-schoolers can still participate in school activities like band, sports, etc. I don't like to see kids isolated by staying at home...I think that's one of the biggest problems. They need friends their own age and it's up to the parents to see they get that association.
