  Public nudity, illegal now, but what God wants of his perfect people!

  i was driving down the road last summer, on a mountain highway that gets very little traffic.

  i turned this corner and there was a couple, late 20's or maybe early 30's, walking down the road holding hands and completely nude.

  while it was out of place, i could not help but remember that had the new system been real, and the witness teachings would have found fulfillment.

  i used to post in a forum much like this years ago.thought i would jump in this one.i have visited here several times and browsed your posts.i have enjoyed reading your posts and will be in here to read more and sometimes comment.looks like everyones said the usual jw stuff and my stories would be just more of what you all have been through or know of.it appears our histories are the same.now its time to make our own history.glad to be a part of this family in this forum.i really enjoy the great sense of humor many of you have.i have been laughing ever since i left the borg society.i tend to be satirical and i like to make people laugh.sometimes i can be damn right cold and mean but mostly to those that force their religious beliefs on others whether its crashing planes into buildings or 'placing ' magazines.they are all the same to me.simply- if it hurts it is wrong.thanks for allowing me this membership.hello to all my new brothers and sisters and i bet real love.

  How much does it cost to be a JW

  ok the story i get from my jw relatives is that borg "isn't making money off them", but that never sat well with me.

  i've always wondered how much money she contributed to the borg.. since i don't have the nerve to ask them, and they probably won't tell me the "truth" if i do, i'm asking you folks.. how much money does the average jw contribute to the cause?

  how much do those silly magazines cost anyway?

  If you have to ask, you can't afford to be one!

  Actually, they get a ton of money in various ways. Donation boxes (saves them from passing a plate), wills, selling property, stocks, literature sales donations.

  POST YOUR EXPERIENCE OF GROWING UP AS A JW....

  i guess that one of my first memories, about 3 years old, had to be sitting in a hard chair being made to listen to a boring talk that i didn't understand.

  we weren't allowed any toys or books to look at besides the wt publications...i remember getting taken outside and beat for something i did...but i didn't even understand what i did wrong.

  i remember that our car didn't have air-conditioning and during the summer how hot and sticky i was by the time i got to the kh.

  There was an elder giving a talk one Thursday night about the need to be more zealous in the ministry. He said that he had noted that people that were "born" in many times didn't have the zeal that those learning the lies "truth" later did. I sat there just thinking that I wished he could have been raised that way and gone through all the pressures that so many had endured going to school. I also thought that when he had as many years in as I did then maybe he could get away with that...he was bombarded by a group of us that night giving him a better understanding of being raised as one!!!

  He raised 2 sons as JW's...one is now serving 20 yrs for bank robbery!!! (Actually, I feel sorry for the son...he was forced to do EVERYTHING his parents said, and he just rebelled against everything in the end!)

  I don't think a little birthday cake or getting Valentines or participating in sports would have harmed him, actually it would have probably helped him! It really is sad to raise a child this way! It takes away a childhood that can never be replaced...

  I think you should try to get some info out of them...if e-mailing... you can keep a documented report on them and see how it goes. Maybe they are testing the waters to see about a way out! I'd just be very frank and ask them why they are contacting you now?

  My non-witness Aunt asked today why there weren't any witnesses showing up at her door??? She said she hadn't seen any for a long time!!! Sounds like good news to me!
