How Many Here Have Been Shunned?
by Reborn2002 inas most of you already know, the jehovah's witnesses are covering an article in their august kingdom ministry to be discussed the weeks of 8/19 and 8/26 which details how they are to shun and avoid those who are no longer members of their organization, even immediate family members.. .
undoubtedly this article has been written to reinforce to the rank&file jehovah's witnesses the shunning policy, so as to tighten the ranks and prevent members from having the opportunity to learn the abundant contradictions and hypocrisies found within watchtower doctrine and practice from any who may have left.. this policy also serves to divide families and attempt to shame or abuse those whom have chosen to no longer be jehovah's witnesses, for whatever reason.. that much is obvious.
in recent days this topic has been discussed in detail in various threads.

There is nothing to get... it is life, then death. What you do in between is what matters. To waste more than a minute worrying about who, what, where, when and how will only frustrate you and waste more of the precious time you have on earth. Have fun, enjoy waking up in the morning. Enjoy your kids, without burdoning them with finding the answers. Smile. Tell people to fuck off if they think you should do other than you want to. Actually, that statement will probly fit in here soon, when one of the god-apologists refutes my atttitude on life and death. Lets all assume I said it up front and save some time.

Trashing The USA.
by Englishman init seems to me that many americans are convinced that europeans are for ever slagging off the usa for some reason or another.. just to set the record straight, america bashing is relatively rare in europe, most of us regard the usa with a not inconsiderable degree of affection.
obviously there are cultural differences between the continents that can lead to feelings being trampled on, but america-hating persons are quite rare over here.
the few real antagonists are very vociferous, but like most fundamentalists, regaded as being completely loony.. maybe the americans who have visited over here have an opinion?.

Why would Mark, or anyone, live in a country they despise? Find one that has all the goodies and non-corporate lifestyles you desire and hitchhike or walk there (so as not to polute). Many people with hard feelings for a corporation will boycot the company, not wearing anything, lets say, made in the USA. Have you and yours done that yet? It makes a statement, altho I dont know how many will sacrifice thier own lifestyles to make a point. Talk is cheap, actions show the truth.
We have our own elements here in the USA that hate everything and everyone here, verbally. They still buy and sell American goods and use the system (welfare, etc), all the while saying it sucks. They are hipocrites, and we let them know that.
Patriotism for ones own country is not a bad thing, altho most here were taught that it is. I am heavily involved in politics, not as a player but as a thorn in the sides of political leaders. Thats where the game gets fun, pissing them off and not my fellow citizens.
As I tell others, if you dont like your town/city/country, find the one you may like and go there. That causes change, not idle talk.

What pisses you off about elders wives?

the elders wife that really pisses me off, is the one that would boastfully announce that jehovah had provided her husband with a part-time teaching job, emphasising that his employment was "on the line" each year....but thanks to jehovah,(in other words) we are so fucking loyal and do many hours in field service and things that nobody could possibly know about ( but i'm letting you know indirectly) so my husband has an income to assist us in our pioneer service!

Lets see..... I can only remember one elders wife.... what a bitch. She let her husband slap her kid around, and he wasnt even the kids real father. One time, she even stood by while he beat the kid unconscious. Her husband used to take thier kid in the back room and bounce him off the walls, once hitting his head so hard that the kid fell, almost knocked out.
This same elders wife lied all the time, to make a story fit to her own needs. So many times I watched her do this, manipulating situations while fuckin other people over. She was a master, and knew how to manuver people around so no one would catch her in her lies.
This elders wife once told her kid that she had wished abortion was legal when he was born. She would always call her loving elder husband whenever the kid acted up, and he would rush home and throw the kid around the room. It was amazing.
This elders wife, with her husband, once told this kid that if he didnt like it there, he could just leave. Next morning, he did.... left with the clothes on his back. He ended up living with a colony of bikers for a while, and that started a long trend, and lifestyle. He ended up in prison at 16, but survived.
I know all this info about this bitch elders wife very well, like I lived it.....
Wait... I did live it. It was my mother.
