  Daughter Has Lump On Throat

  last week, my middle daughter, 15, found a large lump in her throat.

  it was about the size of a quarter.

  when she pointed it out, it was very visible.. the doctor said, after viewing the ultra-sound pics, that it was either a cyst with an unusual hardened mass inside or a carsanoma, [not sure of spelling] a cancer attached to her thyroid.

  Were JW's ever discussed on your local radio stations?

  i remember about 15 years ago when the witnesses in my town were very active going door to door, that they even talked about them on the local radio station.

  once in a while, this talk show would talk about the witnesses and many people phoned and complained about them going door to door, and how pesty they were.

  since over 10 years, the witnesses are hardly visible here, and i don't hear people complain as much, and they don't seem to talk about them much on local radio anymore.. i was wondering if this also happened in your area?.

  The local station in Phoenix (kfyi.com) has an early morning show DJ that rags on his producer, who admitted to being raised as a JW.... funny as hell, he doesnt give him a break.

  South Beach Diet update again

  i have gotten a couple of pm's wanting to know how i am doing on the diet.

  tomorrow starts week 4, and as of today i have lost 8 pounds.

  the last time i tried to lose weight was on weight watchers and it took me about 4 months to lose 8 pounds and then nothing more would come off.

  My wife is on the maintenance part now, with South Beach. She leveled out where she wants to be.

  I, on the otherhand, am still losing even tho I am not dieting like she did and I aint living at home. So far, I went from 240 to 210 since October. New jeans is on the to-do list.

  Is the US spending more money than they have?

  we all know that the usa is a superpower, or should i say the only superpower, but even so, where do they get the money to do so much around the world.

  they send their army across the planet to wage war,at a very hight price.

  each cruise missile or jet fighter costs millions, and then they say they still have the money to rebuild the country.

  Correct on the jobs.... talk has already started in the contracting jobs. Having been a contractor since '87, I cant wait. Might be my last job.

  Going back to the moon by 2015

  Loads of jobs will come from the space ventures.... which means more tax money to pay for welfare babies and social stuff. I have friends on the JPL/Mars Lander project, I wish I had jumped into it.
