  we are expecting the second grandkid next week, on 8-3... planned c-section.

  my job is to watch our first one until all is done then take him in to meet his new sister.

  Kids or grandkids..... hmmmm

  I think there is a different dynamic with the grandkid. We raised our kids to do what they do, and they will raise thiers the way they see right. We get to interact with the grandkid without worrying about correcting him or telling him what to do, we can just enjoy him and leave the hard part to his parents.

  So I guess I like them both.... plus I can feed the grandkid sugary stuff and hand him back to mom and dad.

  Side point.... my kids got thier first motorcycle ride whan they turned 2, and they have ridden since. This xmas I take the grandson for his first ever ride, can't wait.

  Yep, its all good. I head back to Phoenix Thursday after work. We had a little pre-baby party last nite at a friends, sipped Southern Comfort in the hot tub till too late.

  Grandkids will change you a bit.

  So who's having therapy then?

  i have made an appointment to see a therapist who has been highly recommended (i don't think i would ahve taken that step, had it not been for the recommendation and that this therapist is strongly involved with a church so probably has a pretty good idea about the issues involved with cults and the like).

  are any of you currently in therapy, have had it or are about to have it?

  for those that have, has it helped?

  I did and it was well worth it.... back in '94. I think I posted a long story about it, called "Taming of the Beast"... look in my post history. I learned about codependence and learned how to beat it and live.

  It will go good.. like the first one.

  Last time, I hauled ass from San Diego to Phoenix at nite, right from work. I had never met her parents and when I got there I looked rode worn and dirty, my ponytail all knotted up and beard wild looking. I saw them step back when they saw me, it was funny.

  Well, I just got a call that my son thinks her water just broke. I am on the call-first list, since I am 6 hours across the desert from them. So, I patiently wait for the call either way, so I can split.

  So, if I dissapear for a while, that is why. I will take pics for those interested.

  Bem..... Lisa pretty much summed it up nicely, as did you. I have little to add.

  Everyone is here for different reasons, some for help, some to help, and others just like communicating with people.

  I run several boards, on is private, and others are public. None are related to JW issues, but the same dynamics occur. People get tight with each other andworry when you arent there, most times.

  When I left here years back, it was mostly a reprioritizing of my time along with not liking what I was reading sometimes. It was all under my control and I made the changes needed. When I came back last week, I just avoided certain areas of posting and posts. Simple.

  Basically, you do what you gotta do.

  I would first find out exactly what you want, as it seems you have, then live it without any organized religion guiding you.

  Then you can look around and try them all, if you need to, till you find one. OR, you can stay out of any organization and join a circle of like minded people and enjoy life unfettered.
