  A confrontation

  last night was one of the toughest nights to date in my adult life.. my parents and grandmother had been repeatedly asking mrs. kwin about arrangements to get to the assembly this comming weekend.

  she isn't going and my family were unaware of her change in beliefs regarding the wts.

  so, instead of putting things off, not giving an answer, avoiding the situation, we stood up.. i'm not sure how long we were there for, an hour, maybe two but it seemed like forever.

  "Witnesses of Jehovah" Video & DVD

  i just got in the mail yesterday the dvd of "witnesses of jehovah" an revealing expose' concerning jehovah's witness.

  it is a 1986 documentary with interviews with ex-witnesses and active witnesses.

  raymond frantz is interviewed in it too.

  E-watchman is not disfellowshipped!?

  i note that e-watchman has just confirmed that he is not disfellowshipped, despite running an 'apostate' website and having sent 1000's of letters around the us, canada, and bethels around the world.

  this from his latest mailbag questions and answers:.

  He, like me, knows the rules under which they operate and hence, as long as he plays the game, he's not df'd. The elders knew I was going to another church (Bible Students aka "Evil Slave Class") but told me not to spread it in the congregation. No action was taken against me. Since they're very legalistic you have to break one of the rules in the Pay Attention to the Flock book before they're forced into action. I got the impression they'd just prefer to not be involved since it could make the issue bigger and cause others to look into things out of curiosity. Also, it helped that I always had a good relationship with them before I left I think. I had no problems with the elders. I just woke up one day and realized that it wasn't for me.

  The E-WAtchman is definitely "spreading apostate teachings". There is no doubt about that. That does break the rules and if the WTBTS knew who he was, he would be out on his arse as quickly as Ray Franz was.

  The WTBTS is not afraid of that guy, lol. The guy is a coward and a liar, and the biggest apostate of us all.

  I still see someone who should have made that audition, who should have beat Brad Pitt out of his role in Cool World. JK

  I see a man-child who isn't finished with life, not by a long-shot. But I know I am going to die in my mid fourties, but not before I know my kids and my grandkids are happy and safe from the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses. That's all I need.

  The typical response from every "spiritually weak" JW I have talked to about the UN issue, the shunning issue, the blood issue and the child molestation issue, (the spiritually weak ones are the only ones that will talk to me, btw, lol) is "Well . . . blah blah blah . . . " (some weak incoherent defense of the org ensues followed by) "No matter what, I know it's 'the truth' . . . it just is."

  What Made Things Finally "Click" With You To Know This Was Not The Truth?

  for me it was the realization that there was no "faithful & discreet slave", that all the prophecies "proving" that jehovah's witnesses are the only religion approved by god is bogus and the realization that this is a "cult" and there is no real normal sense of love and affection in the "truth".

  I was poised to become apostate for a couple years now. All it took was documented proof of the WTBTS was lying or involved in gross wrongdoing such as the UN thing, or the child abuse coverup scandal. That was the sincher for me. Also it was the way the elders were handling my own children and the abuse they were sufferring from mom and stepdad.

  it's been a very long week.i have spent most of week in the hospital with my nana.. she had a massive heart attack on tuesday and it is not looking good.she has gone down hill fast since pop's passed recentainly.. please say a prayer for her.

  i'm going through a time when so many things seem to be going wrong.. doesn't it seem as though it never rains, it pours?.

  i know the skeptics will roll their eyes at this suggestion: i think that sometimes things happen this way for a reason, and that when we successfully get through it, we are so much stronger.. what do you think about the idea that trials sometimes come along for a reason?.

  What do you think about the idea that trials sometimes come along for a reason?

  I certainly do agree that when we successfully get through trials and challenges we are better and stronger.

  As for them happening for a reason? Well, the only thing I, personally, am absolutely sure about is that 90% of everything that happens to you, you are the cause of. I am more careful these days about what I cause.

  I sincerely hope you get through this set of trials you are currently dealing with. It sounds as though you are strong and have an empowering perspective. Sometimes that's all you need to make through to the other side. My thoughts are with you.
