  strong family ties & family values did not matter to jesus:.

  - a person must hate his or her family and themselves in order to be jesus’ disciple (matthew 10:37; luke 14:26).

  - jesus will give a big reward to those who forsake their family, abandon their home, leave their family behind for him.

  Is that supposed to be worse than later in the same story Lot getting them both pregnant?

  His daughters took advantage of him, not the other way around. They got him drunk with the intention of having sex with him and impregnating themselves. They coerced him with alcohol.

  there were many addressed to me.

  for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.

  i then fired back a her: "you saw the r-rated movie 'backdraft.

  Still Totally ADD Considering that you're expected to thank God constantly for anything and everything even remotely positive in your life (and sometimes even the negative things), it's shocking that that C.O. would claim that your baby was not a blessing. Doesn't the Witchtower teach that children are a blessing, and that the means by which we create children (i.e. sex) is a gift from God to married people?

  i had given serious consideration too leaving the board.

  i rationalised my views on " muslims" we're not held by the majority so i should leave.

  but this would have been wrong thinking, instead i should appreciate the platform i was given to debate with free speech.

  UK Terrorists attacks

  i don't know if anyone has talked about this yet, forgive me if they have.

  but i am just so, so sad that yet more innocent lives have been so brutally taken.

  we've now had three attacks in three months and there has been countless terror attacks stopped by the police.. my jw acquaintances see these attacks as proof the end is near.

  If they think the end is near, you ought to remind them that during the Holocaust, many JWs and people of other faiths believed the end was near then, and oh gee, which is worse, the Holocaust or recent events in the UK?

  Worship of Men?

  i remember when i was in as a teenager, some time around 2006, samuel herd of the governing body came to dedicate our newly built hall.

  i remember bumping into him accidentally and a brother pulled me aside and half jokingly and half seriously telling me that i should be more careful around jehovah's anointed ones.

  it was quite comical to say the least.

  If a person is transgender and gets saved what will they go to heaven as?

  i know this is a stupid question because the answer is obvious, but if a person was born a male and gets transgender surgery to turn into female will that person go to heaven as a male or female if they died saved?

  i think they will go to heaven with the gender they were born with.

  The answer is obvious? Really? You say that, then you say you think they will be reverted back to the gender they were born as. How is that an "obvious" answer? Sounds like you've still got JW in you. Only a heartless God would force people to be in whatever gender they were assigned at birth, regardless of how they feel and how miserable they are not being allowed to be their true selves. Sure, He could easily make them happily accept the way they were born, but that would be robbing them of their free will, and last time I checked, that goes against His own principles.
