It's not a website, but my favorite news source is Last Week Tonight With John Oliver. I need a good laugh in order to process all the BS going on in the world.

What’s your favorite "News" website?
by Wonderment innews in general are supposed to be unbiased.
but given how commercial and political interests get their tentacles around them, finding a fully unbiased news website is not so easy.. here in america some would rather trust bbc or reuters than they do cnn or fox news.
any favorites?.

Why Are Schools Targets Of So Much Gun Violence?
by Brokeback Watchtower inwhy are so many youth flipping out and gunning down fellow students?
is there something seriously wrong with society?
does the public education/indoctrination system need some serious tweaking?

You just proved Flipper's point, Morpheus. Those two guys were angry at what they perceived as injustice and imbalance between the haves and have nots. They felt that they had a right to something that they were ultimately denied. They didn't have to be poor or underprivileged. In fact, most people who feel entitled already have a lot more going for them than the middle-class majority.
Why are there so many dislikes for Flipper's comment? He's absolutely right. Just because you don't want to believe something doesn't magically make it false. That's EXACTLY what the Watchtower does when it allows pedophiles to remain in good standing in the organization while shunning the victims. They don't want to believe the horrible truth, ergo, it CAN'T be true.

CO asked for everyone 20 years old & younger for a group photo
by LevelThePlayingField inthere was a co visit in ohio a couple weeks ago.
when he was finishing up his sunday talk he said that he would like if "all the children that are from this congregation, not if you're just visiting, but from this congregation to come on up on the stage right after the meeting because i want to get a picture of you.".
i thought to myself, why?

What about all the other houses of worship in various other religions who do the same thing? Baptists, Catholics, Presbyterians, etc. also like to take group photos of their congregation's youth. Why is nobody questioning the fact that religious organizations in general have a tendency to do it? Now THAT is creepy.

Loosing your Privleges and Scumbag elders
by Addison0998 inso 9 months before i started pioneering, i had a hot and heavy moment with this player witness who was just trying to string me along and talked to a lot of different girls.
we made out and he grabbed my goodies a few times you know the regular stuff all teens do at least once.
anyways i never saw him again because when i refused to send him nudes he dropped me.

Suicide in the spiritual paradise all too common
by doubtfull1799 injust heard that a young brother committed suicide this week - the whole congregation is naturally very distressed.
what a tragedy.
according to my source he'd only been married about a year and his wife found him - he’d hung himself.

scratchme1010 is right, you guys. You're all being very insensitive. You are using the tragic death of someone who was psychologically damaged to mock a religion. Yes, the religion deserves to be mocked, but it is completely uncalled for to use the loss of human life to do so.

My mom is haunted by the ghost of Fred Franz... now we have gotten to the root of this problem
by silentbuddha inso last night at around 11 while me and the wife were watching netflix and my cellphone rings.
i didn't make it in time and saw it was my mother who never speaks to me.
i decided to call back fearing something happened with my dad.

Motherly Love, that "Unbreakable Bond"
by Simon inmy father died a couple of months ago.
he'd been ill for some time and had many health scares and heart troubles over the years but always managed to keep on going.
then one time he didn't.. i'm glad i got to know him again and spend some more time with him after so many years missed because of the wts but those years will always be lost forever.

I'd have asked why she would worship a god so evil as to demand that she choose between him and her own child. If she would never make such an ultimatum herself without being told to, then why would a "loving" god? And demand to know where in the Bible it says to disown your own flesh and blood?

"Thanks for the thought" - how the religion robs people of normal humanity
by stuckinarut2 inso as you all know, my wife and i are not officially df or da.. a small event happened this week that i have to share!.
a family that we were really close to (dinners and catch ups several times a month , go out socially often, play sport together, helped them through tough times, like uncle and aunty to their kids, etc).
the wife's father died.

To be fair, you said that the death only just occurred this week. A woman lost her father. You don't just "get over" something like that and fall back into a normal routine right away. Naturally it's going to take some time for her to respond to you. As for the husband's text, he doesn't speak for her, and maybe he understands that and knows it's not his place to put words in his wife's mouth.
I am not trying to excuse their behavior, but give a possible explanation. When my mother died, there were some friends I didn't even inform until about two weeks later. Some actually called me first to ask how she was doing (she'd been in the hospital for over a month) and I was then forced to tell them right then and there over the phone. I know I should have done it a lot sooner, but it hurt too much to even think about having to tell anyone that my mom was gone.

Are the 8 superstar Popes planning a purge?
by Sour Grapes inthere are over 8 million jdubs and i would venture a guess that at least 20% to 30% are pimo.
in my opinion, the kingdom hauls are only half full for two reasons....many have left but the majority are pimo and any little excuse will keep them home and they will report their token ghost hours in service.
all it takes to stay home is being tired, too much school homework or i will go next week, no doubt many have taken part-time jobs and the fear of working the second shift and the guilt of missing meetings is gone.

What Is The Most Ridiculous Thing You Have Heard From A Witness?
by minimus ini remember an elder questioning a woman who had admitted to giving and receiving oral sex from her unbelieving mate.
he asked her the most intimate questions which clearly flustered her.
interestingly, she “confessed “ to the elders because her conscience bothered her.

Here's another said a few weeks after 9/11 "well folks it looks like Armageddon has started doesn't it?"
--- That always bothered me, but for a different reason. It wasn't just the ignorance of the assumption, but the sheer narcissism of it. Horrible things like terror attacks and natural disasters wipe out thousands of lives in a single blow all over the world, but when it happens on American soil, THEN it's a sign of Armageddon? Really?
