  my mil came by to drop some pressure on my wife to go to the three day this weekend.

  she told her that she wants our baby to live forever and that she wants us to come back.

  apparently people would be “so happy” to see us return to the fold.

  I heard my roommate on the phone just the other day telling a Bible study that "They say we're selling off halls and dispersing congregations because of lawsuits. That couldn't be further from the truth! We're actually doing it to merge the stronger congregations with the weaker ones. It really helps the weaker ones."
  
  Not entirely sure what she meant by "stronger" and "weaker," but there you have it. That's what's REALLY going on.

  my father in law worked for a large american manufacturing company in the 60s and early 70s.

  I'm confused. Either he has no money to his name, or he has a few thousand dollars, which is like the polar opposite of no money. Sure, a few grand won't last long, but that still puts him leagues ahead of people like me who live on less than $1,000 per month. Do you mean that he has no income to his name, and that the "few grand" is just what he happens to have sitting in his savings account?

  I may have found a clue to Watchtower's sudden reversal on organ transplants

  i have read countless times in this site and others that there is speculation that someone high up in the watchtower world required an organ transplant, and then because of that, their position that they had held since 1967 changed in 1980.i believe i have found a clue to who that person might have been.

  i leave it to the exjw community to investigate further, but it's tantalizing!it is waay too much of a coincidence that:lee cordaway got a phone call in january 1980 that his kidneys were failing.

  lee was 18 years old at the time.watchtower printed its "organ transplants are allowed now" article in march 1980.. january 1981: lee goes into the organ donor list for new kidneys.august 1981: lee receives his new kidney.september 1981: lee's new kidney is rejected, he has to have it removed.

  Favourite Quirky / Low Budget / Non-Mainstream Movies

  so the recent topic about film franchises got me thinking.

  sure, we all love the big budget, mainstream releases that are so successful they spawn never-ending (it sometimes seems) sequels.

  we could watch marvel and star-wars movies for the rest of our lives (and we might just ...).. but y'know what i love?

  There was also a made-for-TV movie from the early nineties called Mother Goose Rock 'n' Rhyme, and while it is rather low-budget in terms of set design (which is still very creative nonetheless), it features an all-star cast, including Jean Stapleton as Mother Goose, Shelley Duvall as Little Bo Peep, Cyndi Lauper as Mary (Had a Little Lamb), Woody Harrelson as her lamb, Little Richard as Old King Cole, Paul Simon as Simple Simon, Art Garfunkel as Georgie Porgie, Howie Mandel as Humpty Dumpty, Ben Vereen as the Itsy Bitsy Spider, and ZZ Top as the Three Men in a Tub.
  
  The costume designs and the songs are very out there, like something out of a late eighties/early nineties music video. This was another favorite from my childhood. If you ever get a chance, check it out.

  The Point was a low-budget animated movie from 1971 featuring songs by Harry Nilsson. A little-known fact about this particular film is that the song "Me and My Arrow" originated from it and the Arrow in question is actually the protagonist's dog, not a car, despite the song being far better known from a car commercial. This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and I still love it today. In fact, my dog (a Belgian Malinois) is named Arrow.
  
  The only problem with the film is that, for some reason, they couldn't decide on a single narrator, so there are different versions out there with different narrators. The one I grew up with was Alan Thicke, but others have included Alan Barzman, Dustin Hoffman, and Ringo Starr. The only version available on DVD (and indeed anywhere in existence nowadays) is the Ringo version. Not to insult the man, but his bored and drunk sounding delivery pales in comparison to Thicke's. But maybe I'm biased.

  news in general are supposed to be unbiased.

  but given how commercial and political interests get their tentacles around them, finding a fully unbiased news website is not so easy.. here in america some would rather trust bbc or reuters than they do cnn or fox news.

  any favorites?.

  You just proved Flipper's point, Morpheus. Those two guys were angry at what they perceived as injustice and imbalance between the haves and have nots. They felt that they had a right to something that they were ultimately denied. They didn't have to be poor or underprivileged. In fact, most people who feel entitled already have a lot more going for them than the middle-class majority.

  Why are there so many dislikes for Flipper's comment? He's absolutely right. Just because you don't want to believe something doesn't magically make it false. That's EXACTLY what the Watchtower does when it allows pedophiles to remain in good standing in the organization while shunning the victims. They don't want to believe the horrible truth, ergo, it CAN'T be true.

  CO asked for everyone 20 years old & younger for a group photo

  there was a co visit in ohio a couple weeks ago.

  when he was finishing up his sunday talk he said that he would like if "all the children that are from this congregation, not if you're just visiting, but from this congregation to come on up on the stage right after the meeting because i want to get a picture of you.".

  i thought to myself, why?

  What about all the other houses of worship in various other religions who do the same thing? Baptists, Catholics, Presbyterians, etc. also like to take group photos of their congregation's youth. Why is nobody questioning the fact that religious organizations in general have a tendency to do it? Now THAT is creepy.

  Loosing your Privleges and Scumbag elders

  so 9 months before i started pioneering, i had a hot and heavy moment with this player witness who was just trying to string me along and talked to a lot of different girls.

  we made out and he grabbed my goodies a few times you know the regular stuff all teens do at least once.

  anyways i never saw him again because when i refused to send him nudes he dropped me.
