my g'daughter and her hubby are stationed in okinawa.. i talked with her a few hours earlier today, and she stated they're preparing for the worst.. young people are remarkably resilient, aren't they?.

Imagine all of the children who were terrified of dying and knew that a simple transfusion could save them, but their own parents ignored their cries and stood their ground, denying their child the right to life. Especially children who had lived a normal, non-JW life until one or both parents got conned into drinking the Koolaid. No amount of comforting or scripture-quoting or praying is going to make them feel any better if they aren't already brainwashed. :(

back in 2005, i remember sitting in the stadium in the special rows with 42 others.

8000 people were looking at us - maybe even with a binocular - while listening to the speech.

my family and my friends among them, being all proud of me.. i don't remember being enthusiastic.

God never knew Jesus would be killed?

jesus gave an illustration with a landowner being the central character:.

“there was a landowner who planted a vineyard.

he put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower.

My only takeaway from this parable is, that landowner is out of his fucking mind for not evicting the tenants and turning them in to the police for murdering his servants the first time it happened, and then for sending more servants and his son to certain death.

Also, unless the son just happened to be carrying his entire inheritance on him, how the ever-loving fuck do the tenants expect to take it from him?

And finally, how does this story even begin to suggest that God didn't know Jesus would be killed? It reads like the exact opposite. This is textbook foreshadowing if I ever saw it.

i'm at the stage where i'd love a big scandal to come along showing clearly that the j.w's are not the true religion, but sometimes i get touched inside by various thoughts or events, the russian court trial being one of them.. i mean, j.w's are understandably fixated with attending the memorial, so why didn't the court say it will resume on monday or tuesday, instead setting wednesday 12 april as the date?

part of me believes the comments from pro-j.w's that jehovah moved events so they could attend the memorial.. it seems the j.w's will not be banned, which makes my mind and heart wrestle between thinking jah's behind it, or maybe the ministry of justice is just woefully prepared compared to the superb australian royal commission team who did their homework.

it surprises me the russians seemingly haven't done any homework..
