No.. I don't believe in God as an all powerful creator in heaven. God is simply a feeling of love for others and being happy within yourself. If you have those , what more do need? If everyone really cared about others feelings the world would be a happier place. Belief in God just causes division and hatred among so many.

Hmmm.. I remember when I was younger about 10 or 11, all the sisters had these specially made service bags in brown leather. Some were even a fake looking crocodile leather. I can't remember where my mom ordered them from, but we all had them. Looked so professional..lol.. Seeing those service bags on the site brought back memories...shuddddderrrrrrrrrrrr....

WT-1-1-05 Study Article-New Light?
by Bluegrass Tom ini noticed in the article that was studied on sunday february 13, 2005 an interesting point.
at least interesting to me.. paragraph 15 states in part: " they acknowlege that riches can make life comfortable, but they know the wealth does nothing for their everlasting future".
please note the use of the term everlasting future (like after a ressurection), and not everlasting life are used.

I suppose its more doubletalk from the governing body to keep their followers confused. They are probably trying to slowly wean them from expecting the "New System" to come soon, and getting them to focus on being faithful and not relying on times and dates. Perhaps the teachings will lean more to "be faithful until death and then you will find your reward"????? It just seems like they have to scramble to come up with a new way of thinking to keep brainwashing the masses into being happy in their" service to Jehovah".

We had an elder in our congregation who was young for an elder really, 25, newlywed and no kids. He started bringing his wife when he went to counsel people and handle problems. The other elders didn't seem to have a problem with that. Until she started gossiping about everything. She caused so much trouble that eventually they moved away to another province. He was never removed as elder. Not sure how they are doing as I haven't seen them for over 20 years.

Its always wonderful to hear a story of a couple who can stay happily married for so many years. But I think it was having a common religious belief that made them happy, and probably just they type of people they were- not because they were JWs.

Passing along information
by Caveat ina while ago i read an article somewhere where the org said that you shouldn?t pass along emails or unconfirmed stories without verifying the information and the source otherwise you?ll be contributing in spreading gossip.. do you think the rank and file jws are guilty of lying, since they are transmitting information that they themselves have not bother to confirm?.
does trusting the gb exonerates them somehow of their responsibility of verifying the information?.
those who know about some flaws in the teachings; are they in your eyes justified somehow to remain spreading them while staying in?
