i've been lurking for some time and now its time for me to say hello.
i want to call myself sam on here to avoid any repercussions, whatever they may be i have learnt to cover my back in this life from the experiences i now ask if i may relate.
i was born into a black working class household in england to a mother who had remarried after splitting up with her first husband in barbados.

glad i found this board and hope to have some interesting discussions.
i'll post my story later today, but in the meantime; i'm a single parent with 2 kids, was a jw for 26 years in total (born one, left at 17 years, went back at 21), became inactive 4 years ago and disassociated myself 4 weeks ago!.
my experience with the bible org.

i'm new to these boards.
i'll introduce myself.. i was raised a jw, baptized at 13, pioneer at 15, married at 18, divorced at 21, disfellowshipped and pregnant at 22, and here i am.
i gave birth to a beautiful baby boy about five months ago, and i've never been happier, but that has required a lot of sacrifice and hurt.

no, nothing to do with jws.
does anybody know how to effectively deal with these birds?
they're busy trying to kill all our good trees!!!
Elsewhere,
We don't have a public park where they gather. Any other suggestions?

I don't think tanglefoot would work. These birds (there's a whole family) are drilling all over the trees. Yes, more than one bird and more than one tree involved. This isn't the first year we've had this problem. Our neighbour lost their apple tree and we lost our walnut tree. These birds definitely do kill the trees. They don't leave them alone until they're dead. Right now they're working hard on our elm tree. I just hope they don't discover our apple trees.

Buttlight, they don't feed at the bird feeder. They just drill holes all over the tree trunks until the tree dies.
Elsewhere, that sounds like a good idea. But we don't have one.
