Unfortunately I believe you will probably be deleted very soon... and although there is a good chance you are not actually from Missouri, I must ask, where in Missouri are you?
P.s. Welcome... lol.

okay i promise i wont be a schmuck and give away all of the twists, not that they're not obvious.
have any of you seen this movie yet?.
man, i saw some striking similarities to dub life.
I haven't seen it yet either, though I accidentally came across one twist in another thread. I just wanted to put my tuppence in and say that M. Night Shyamalan truly is a directorial genius, and one of the best writers ever to have graced the big screen.

slow down and enjoy life.
it's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.. eddie cantor (1892 - 1964) .

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.
Eddie Cantor (1892 - 1964)
There I was, slowly swaying back and forth in the rocking chair in my living room. All the lights turned off, apart from the soothing glow of a nearby night light. Soft music played on the radio. In my arms was the most beautiful creation ever, partially covered with a blankie. His head rested on a pillow supported by my arm. His eyes were closed, his chest slowly rising and falling as he slept. I just could not take my eyes off of baby Mason.
At that moment in time, life wasn't about work, money, acceptance, even relationships. It was just life at it's simplest. Deep down in my heart - no, my very soul - I was happy.
You see, we all strive for happiness. We all have our something that we think will make us happy. Whether it is a new car, or partner, or house, or even a new improved stomach... Of course, life would be much better when we have that new lakeside home. And we would be much less stressed if we could go to the shopping mall in that '04 Celica. Is this really the case though?
An object in possession seldom retains the same charm that it had in pursuit.
Pliny the Younger (62 AD - 114 AD)
Now... think about the last major purchase you made, whatever it may be. It does not even have to be a possession, it could be a promotion you have put a lot of time into getting, even winning an argument. Now, did it make you happy? I'm not talking about whether it made you smile, feel proud, gave you pleasure. Really, think about it... did it make your soul smile?
Many of us spend 40 hours a week at work. We work hard, and earn our money well. Then the paycheck gets to you, and you find that after paying all the credit card bills, car payment, house payment etc., there is barely anything left! We strive this hard, all in the pursuit of happiness, and yet it still evades us. Deep down, we are still unhappy.
The bird of paradise alights only upon the hand that does not grasp.
John Berry, Flight of White Crows
So, after considering what happiness is not... we must now find what happiness is. A wise man named Anthony de Mello (who was the inspiration behind this article) wrote "We always have everything we need to be happy".
Since our situation in the world is constantly changing, temporary at best, and we can never have everything we want, how can we have everything we need to be happy? What if we were to get stranded on an island? Let's go with that illustration... You have a beautiful house, the latest model car, your spouse is a supermodel / adonis. You decide to go on a vacation, but the small plane you bought goes down in the ocean half way to Hawaii, and you awake on a deserted beach. How can you possibly be happy? You no longer have any of the things that once made you "happy".
What do you have that could make you happy? Within this question lies the secret to happiness... and that secret is: you. You are the one thing that can make you truly happy. Regardless of what you have, or do not have... there is always you. You are the one that decides that you are unhappy without your house, or car, or even spouse.
The simple fact is, happiness is not in your future. It is now. You have happiness in you no matter what. Sometimes it takes little things to remind us of this fact, like watching a baby sleep, or looking up to the stars, or smelling the sweet scent of a rose. These things by no means bring happiness in themselves... no... they just make you forget what you do not have, and remind you of what you do have. You have a beautiful thing, that is, life itself.
If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.
Anna Quindlen
Happiness lies within no object, no possession... it resides only in one place. Your soul. So... how to achieve happiness? You need not get rid of all of your earthly possessions. Just realize that they are not required for happiness. In doing this, you will have freed yourself from the bonds of what this world calls "success", and found that which brings a smile to your soul.
I implore you all to look inside yourselves, and be happy with what you see. You will find a joy, a love which is by no means temporary. After all, it resides where no man can take it away from you, deep inside your soul.
God bless each and every one of you

Yeru... at least Kerry has the balls to make decisions based on the facts at hand. Things change, and sometimes we need to be flexible and change the way we view matters and make decisions.
In my humble opinion it is better to admit you were wrong before and set yourself straight, than standing adamantly by your original decision, even when new facts have come along.
GWB would go up a few notches in my opinion if he "flip-flopped" and actually admitted that there are no WMDs.

after reading cyber-sister's post about a jw who knocked on her door, i thought it might be a good idea to talk about preparing ourselves for the almost inevitable time when a jw will try to "preach to us" and try to get us to return.. like cyber-sister i met a jw fairly recently who immediately started preaching to me.
she said jehovah had removed his holy spirit from me and that is why i can't see the "truth".
at the time i was taken unawares and didn't really know what to say, apart from that i don't believe it anymore.
lol, just do what I did. Tell them, "Thanks, but no thanks. I am now an apostate. If you would like, I will tell you why I became one, but I don't think you want that, now, do you?".
Slowly they backed off my porch.

a funny and peculiar song i found today about keeping religious law out of secular law.. .
some will be offended by this, my advice, don't click the link.
i think most here who don't take things too seriously will enjoy it.
Simon, you know I am really not a troublemaker, but WTF? lol. You censor the word "penis", which is a totally natural, medical term. And then you post and use "shit" with nary a second thought.
rofl, this just cracks me up!

Gumbro.... unfortunately I've seen one too many of these to actually get my face up close.
The worst was one about subliminal messages in Stairway to Heaven. They make the writing pretty small, and the sound low, so you have to get up close. They play it backwards and in this really freaky voice, you hear the lords prayer being recited. Then half way in, there is a bloodcurdling scream, and pictures of mutilated faces start flashing up on the screen. I jumped back in my chair so hard that I actually hit the wall three feet behind me, and since these faces kept coming on the screen, about all I could think to do in my panic was to pull the plug on the computer.
All of this whilst working in a building alone at 3am.
Good try though, even if you did almost inadvertantly kill about 3 of our JWD posters... lmao

if any of you are bored and want to read a very fascinating tale of what i think is one of the more interesting internet hoaxes, there is the story of john titor.
the web site says:
"although there is debate over the exact date it started, on november 02, 2000, a person calling themselves timetravel_0, and later john titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036.
Oooh, thanks for the link CG, will be some good reading tonight.
The post finds me very well... I am looking forward to a new job sometime soon, I'll actually get to see the light of day!
How are things going with you babe?

CG, I had read about this some time ago, and it was very fascinating. Anyone can go online and say they are from the future, but this guy did it very well, and was very convincing. The only evidence against him that I actually held with any regard, was that there was a book which followed the same lines as the story he told was known by a few people. Apparently some of the things that he spoke of were main points in this book, including timelines, parts of the life of the character in the book, and also world events, though the book was nothing to do with time-travel. After finding this, I no longer believed him.
Kudos to the guy though, he had a lot of people fooled. Seemed like a nice guy tho. I think a lot of people just wanted to believe him, I know I did.
