i keep getting things which don't belong to me, and i have to go around returning them.
in the past 2 months, i was given $120 too much by a bank teller, a loaf of olive rosemary bread was put in my shopping bag at the grocery store (but not charged to me), 2 orders of fries at mcdonald's (again, i was not charged), and then yesterday i bought a dresser at an antiques store, and when it was delivered, the drawers were full of gorgeous antique handbags worth far more than i'd paid for the dresser.

I've just discovered something cuz I'm smart.
by gumby ini noticed the names on the page that shows the thread titles, thread author, and last poster, ( whatever that page is called) has some names starting with capital letters, and some not.
does changing our name on our profile page alter that?
i suppose i could try it and see if it works........ couldn't i now?.

by glitter init's over - russian troops stormed the building after 2 militants blew themselves up.. .
the news is saying the monsters took the children's clothes away when they asked for water, soaked them in water and threw the back at them and told them to suck on their clothes - so the kids who are outside are all in their pants or are naked.
they refused to give them water, food, blankets and medicine when the army and negotiators asked for them to be brought in.. .

i've read the bible and i don't recall satan himself actually ever doing anything evil or harmful... however i read many accounts where god killed or tormented countless thousands of people for arbitrary reasons.. aside from prophecies where jehover says that satan will hurt people in the future (hasn't happened yet, and no sign that it will happen), can anyone cite an example in the bible where satan actually harmed anyone?.

hehe, I love the way I can read a topic title and before I even click it, I know who is taking what side, and for what reason.
To throw my two-penneth in, whether anyone likes it or not....
The thread title instantly assumes that God is an old guy with a beard and makes all the decisions around here.
IMHO, God is not some personified "Father Time" type figure. I know, the Bible gives all of that "He created man in His image" palava, which I personally don't hold much to. I see God as more of a force than anything, almost a feeling. If I had to put a word to it, my favorite descriptions are "The Light" and, as the Bible so beautifully puts it, "God is Love". To take that a little further, with a bit of algebra, we can see that "God = Love", therefore "Love = God"... Love IS God. Put it all together... you have an omnipresent Love, that emits Light and warmth.
(As a side note though, I do feel that sometimes personifying God in this way can help us have a more personal relationship with The Light)
As for Satan, not sure where this character came from, but it was probably some pee'd off spirit creature who fell from Grace way before the supposed "Adam and Eve" incident. Yes, Satan does represent all that is evil... but when you think about it, did Satan fly those planes on 9/11? Did Satan commit all those murders in the Holocaust? Nope... humans did. Plain old disconnected from The Light humans. We are the only ones to blame for our "sins".
Simply put, I believe that God isn't around us as a referee, and doesn't really "do" anything, just as Love itself doesn't "do" anything when left alone and not used. But when people start to love, and connect to God's power, that is when good things happen. And bad things? Just the opposite, when people hate, and disconnect from the ever-flowing love, bad things happen.

How deep do you want me to take this one, Terry?
On a simple level, why do I exist? To live life and be happy. To sit with my father and have a glass of red wine and some cheese and crackers.
On a slightly deeper level, why do I exist? I honestly don't know why I (as a conscious entity) exist. However, Keith Jones exists so that I (again, as a conscious entity) may learn the lessons in life, what it feels like to live in joy, pain, love, and all those other amazing emotions that we experience, so that I may become a more loving spirit being, and gradually work my way closer to being in The Light. After Keith Jones ceases to exist, I will probably chill out in the next world just long enough to come to terms with what I have learned in this life, and also long enough to figure out what lessons I still need to learn, and what I need to re-learn. Then I'll choose myself another life full of anguish, absolute happiness, pain, suffering, and contentment. And thus the process repeats.
On an even deeper level,
whydo I exist? lolFMZ
P.S. Only recently have I found out why I have always had the feeling I'd done this before.

You are both arguing the same point! lol
You both agree that the Chechens were wronged, and you both agree that this crap won't end until people simply put up their weapons, which won't happen. Russia was wrong to treat the Chechens like they did, and the Chechen militants were wrong to do what they did.
I'm quite sure you both agree on these things. Rather than look for an argument, why don't you just take a step back and just think of what this post was really about, and that is the sadness that this happened to the children, and the joy that it is finally over. Come on mate, Glitter isn't the enemy.

Aye mate, blogging is sort of a diary (shortened from web-log). Just where you write a little about what happened in your day etc. It's a nice any easy little project to learn PHP as you only need to work with two fields, text and date.
