so we went to the hall, but were considered "weak" witnesses, since our family still celebrated xmas and birthdays, to appease my dad i suppose.
as a kid, i loved these holidays.. anyways, when my brother was 17 (i was 13), he spent a few weeks with our cousins in ky, who are all gung-ho j-dubs, and upon his return, he decided he was going to be more "theocratic".

It would be nice, but I doubt it. I think any change will be cosmetic and symbolic. I think this guy got elected because he will "carry on" as usual by not making real substantive changes. I hope I'm wrong, but time will tell.

i crawled out from behind the fridge where i was doing a repair on the waterline for the icemaker, so i could go see what all the commotion was about.
i fugured it was going to be my neighbor returning my ladder but instead it was jw's handing out memorial invites.. the woman and the young man (her 20 something son) were people i had known but hadn't seen since we faded 4+ years ago.
Do not apologize for the the truth, especially in light of the way you did it. She may have some cognitive dissonance over this, but she will probably dismiss it and revert to her conditioning. Her son, however, may have a better chance at waking up. If you do call her tell her that you only apologize if her feelings are hurt, but you were speaking from your heart and have no reason recant anything, and as a fellow human being she deserves to hear the truth as you see it.
