It just isn't absorbing the water like it's supposed to. Would I still get the benefits if I consumed it anyway?

I've had a tablespoon sitting in 8 ounces of water for 1 1/2 hours and it hasn't turned into a gelatin yet, and I'm wondering what went wrong.

A Pool Into Forever
by JamesThomas inmany years ago, a moment magically unfolded.. .
in my arms, silent and warm, lay my baby son who only a few weeks earlier curled in his mommies tummy.. cradled lovingly, and comfortably in my arms, an innate wisdom within him, ignored all the menagerie of colors and stimulus around, and focused instead, directly into my eyes.. the gaze entered into my soul.
we melded.

I can't bear to watch. Anyone want to summarize?
Mother reminds her forgetful daughter to make sure she has all the necessary materials for going out into service, including a Bible and MAGAZINES! Her bag was empty as she was about to go out the door.

Mouthy Grace is not well. Please send love.
by return of parakeet inin another thread, mouthy said she was "not well" and mentioned "kicking the bucket.
i believe she needs some encouragement and well wishes.. mouthy, you don't need to respond to this thread if you don't feel up to it.
just consider it an exceptionally long get-well card..

Oh granny, please know that you are loved. You are integral part of this community and are "family" to many here. I hope you will be feeling better soon.

I wanted to punch this elder so bad!
by OneDayillBeFree inso i decided to attend the meeting last.
since i haven't gone in about 2 weeks, and i leave as soon as it ends, and elder decided to corner me at the end.
lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

"So then I said "what if Jehovah told you to think?" The elder's sly smirk went away. He just stood there. Speechless. Frozen. He had no answer."
I bet his balls shrived to the size of raisins when you said that. No wonder he had no answer, all he could focus on was his scrotum.

It got to be hard being a JW today!!!!
by jam ini can understand why they think the end is near.. in the old days, one was proud to be a jw (well maybe.
not for you young ones) but for us that came in the 60,s.
and 70,s, we felt no shame in our game.

"JWs lay low in the neighborhood so they can pretend to be normal people. They prefer not to work the territory their home is in. Deep down, they know the public views them as social parasites and just plain weird. Wearing that kind of badge must be depressing for JWs."
I've found this to be true as well. A JW family has lived two doors away for more than 30 years and I haven't once seen them knock on anyone's door in our neighborhood. To this day they have yet to even say hello as I go by unless I say it first.
