Life after JW

haven't been on this site since fall of last year.

i was very active in spreading awareness and getting information to help me cope with the fact that my mother cut off complete communication with me as of jan 2014, but i guess too much of a good thing was too much for me to handle.

i ended up getting panic/anxiety attacks.

Put a No JW sign on your door, tell your family not to discuss your mom for now and ask them to respect that boundary, drive a different way around the meeting place, and stay away from all JW sites and articles. Focus on the baby and later you can come back to this. If need be, go talk to a therapist about your mom and what happened there so that you can work through it safely. The anger will subside as you deal with the pain and hurt behind it.

i'm just wondering if the book is available to be listened to in any format?

i know that it can be found online and read freely, and i've been through some of it, but i just wondered if it was available in any other way.

i guess it would be lacking some of the copies of articles and such that were in the original book, but it would still be interesting.

Thanks again Tim. I just listened to some of it. Wow, it is really disgusting what went on at the expense of others. It is nice to see that Franz saw a lot of things that I myself have seen in the organization and pointed out to my wife. The prevailing attitude is one of making and following rules, setting the GB up as our conscience, and they care about rules more than people, following traditions of men and protecting their appearance than how it destroys lives or families. I'm not surprised, but it's still hard to hear.

Awesome, thanks tim! I'm really surprised that it isn't more readily available with it being such a big influence in this community. Whoever read it did a good job reading a difficult book that doesn't always flow well.

I'm willing to pay for a service that converts the videos to audio if needed. I would have purchased the audio book if available on Audible or something. It was great listening to the first full chapters though.

Just looked at the dropbox files and from 5-14 the files are noticeably shorter there too.

I just noticed that track 5 on to the end seems to be about 12 minutes each and they seem to cut off. There was either a problem with the upload, or my download. My wife's download was exactly the same though, so I'm thinking the upload had issues.

Thank you so much! I've had no issues downloading it. Had to get the Mega app first, register for a free account, verify it via email, then come here and click the link. Asked me if I had an account, clicked okay, and then when it showed all of the files I clicked the dots at the top right and chose to download the folder.

@Godzoo, if you could upload it that would be great! I found it on YouTube once before but couldn't download it in audio format. I used to have a site that would do that for me, but it is gone now. I've tried to get it myself, but decided it was time to ask here because you guys have everything.
