@smiddy Yeah I saw that too. I think it was supposed to intimidate the protesters, a show of force. All it did was make them look more culty. People noticed, and not in a good way for them. They are over the top ridiculous. And that's how a protest should be done. Peacefully, let them show how crazy they are.

Narcissism
by lriddle80 ini saw this video a few days ago by jw analyzer that was very disturbing.
what i have learned and experienced about a narcissist is that they will openly confess their wrongdoing, but they do it by accusing someone else of it.
i guess that is called projection.. in this video, the guy picks out 2 tactics of "satan" .

I haven't watched this video in particular but I'm very well aware of what they do. Narcissists are all about blame and outward projection, just like you said. JWs are a very narcissistic organization. Just think about terms like being "used" in the congregation. They tell you exactly what they do to you in those ways, and they also accuse people on the outside of being deceiving all the while they are the ones deceiving you.

You can't live for others and be happy if you're being inauthentic. Not in the long run. So who are you and what do you want? You're going to endure pain in this one way or the other so you might as well endure the pain that moves you forward toward growth and living your life in a way that fits you.

The protest, as far as I know, isn't some aggressive screaming match. It's a peaceful protest as far as I know. I know that it helps PIMOs that have to go as they secretly are excited to see others that are out around them. I know that it helps those that are protesting to feel seen, to get some camaraderie around a shared trauma, and it helps give some media attention at times to the voices of those wanting to be heard. Done right it does create questions in the minds and hearts of people that see the protest that are open to it. Advertising of sites that can be accessed from private devices could lead some that are questioning to finally look up "mentally diseased" sites like JW Facts. You never know who might be impacted to leave, to know that there are others like them out there, etc.

Is this "Sara", who you posted about 6 months ago that spit in your face, took a bunch of pills, and claimed to have had a relationship with your friend "Tim"? Or is this your "shameless" relationship with your ex-wife who has all kinds of problems?
My point? Look at the relationship drama you have. I remember pointing out that you have involvement in the drama and should see a therapist. Did you ever do that? Because you're attracting and dealing with people with a lot of issues. Why do you do that? The scenarios you bring here are highly dysfunctional and one common theme is you.
I say this, not to blame you, but you're the only person in any of these scenarios that you can control or have any hold on. Your mom, your girl, your ex, lots of people all causing your problems, and maybe they genuinely are, but why do you put up with it? Why do you keep putting yourself in these situations? Those are questions that once you have answers to might help you find a different type of person and relationship, because right now they all seem to be train wrecks.
I could ask all kinds of questions here for this one scenario to try to grasp the ins and outs, but I'll leave that to others. I just wanted to point out that this isn't an isolated incident and if nothing else you may have a bad picker. You need to get to the root of why that is and how you can better yourself. Not trying to pile on, I say this because I'd like to see you not have to make these posts and to find healthier options in your life. You blew up at your girl, almost did at your mom, I hope to see you live a life where you aren't having to feel like blowing up and where you don't have all of this drama, and if none of this has anything to do with you then you're powerless to change anything.
Good luck man. -

School task on Jehovas Witness
by Balder ini am writing an essay on jehovas witness and i have a question for you.
what does a normal day of a jehovas witness consist of?
how is your day different from other's?

Hi Balder! If you want to learn about the lifestyle, because it's not like regular church, I recommend you listen to the podcast This JW Life. You don't have to listen to the whole thing but I detail what that life is like. The meetings, the organizational structure, and how they manipulate people. Listen to episode 4 and 5 to get a better understanding. You can listen to 2-5 for even better understanding, or all of the episodes, but 4 and 5 might really help your assignment.

Mental Health and Ex-JWs - My interview with ICSA
by dubstepped ini was interviewed by the international cultic studies association and the video from the live stream a few weeks ago has been released.
if you're an ex-jw i'd encourage you to watch and share.
the objective of this video is to help those that leave jehovah's witnesses to identify patterns and psychological problems that may be present in their lives and to help professional therapists and coaches to do the same.

I'm hoping that it helps others. So many struggle to find a therapist or someone that understands. They don't want to have to basically indoctrinate their therapist to help them understand so that then they can help them untangle it all. If we can educate the therapists at scale we can help the helpers, so to speak. And if we can help those suffering to have the verbiage to use when they go in, to know what patterns might be playing out in their lives, it gives them a running start instead of having to go backward in order to go forward.

The objective of this video is to help those that leave Jehovah's Witnesses to identify patterns and psychological problems that may be present in their lives and to help professional therapists and coaches to do the same. These insights are gleaned from my own experience personally, my observations in years of interactions in ex-JW communities including my own, my interviews for the Shunned Podcast, and from professionally coaching individuals that have reached out to work through their past and to work on building a better future.
This can be used to help your therapist to understand where you're coming from. This can also be used to help you understand and identify roles that you're playing out in your own life and some of the reasons behind it.
